Where are we today ?

Such wonderful weather for sleeping, windows wide open and fantastic fan running. Slept right through until after 6 am this morning, these late nights after sunset helps me with sleeping in a bit, But do miss the early sunrises.
The warming sun was perfect to start the day, so shortly after 7 am a nice quiet walkabout town, chatted with a few early morning walkers, almost 2 miles in, back home just before 9. Then a peaceful country drive along River Road through Haysville to New Hamburg. to pick up some chicken legs and thighs on sale .88 cents a pound, excellent price and we do love our chicken.

Back home for an early light lunch, then hopped on the mower to get more lawn cut. It is getting quite warm 92F at 11 am 39% humidity not too bad . This is the weather when I really enjoy the lawn mowing. Got that all done by 1:30 time to relax in the shade after bouncing around this yard, made worse by the Hydro 1 truck that went back there to hook up some power lines.

By now our thermometer was reading 95 F under our awning, only 30% humidity and just a light breeze. The pool is ready to go but John just put more chemicals in it and said not to use until Monday. It sure would be nice today though.

Listening to the birds and watching a few Robins around did actually get a picture of one.

The cooler shade is feeling good and now Happy Hour and enjoying our page turners. as well as the peace a quiet here. Then soon was time to whip up supper, made our salad, preheated the Weber Q and grilled couple of chicken legs and thighs for a tasty meal.

That is about it for now. wrap up this posting, read a bit more , and maybe catch another sunset later on tonight. These 2 below were taken last night around 9 pm.
That was our wonderful very warm relaxing day, enjoying this summer weather that has finally arrived . and lots more to come.

DeleteGood price for the chicken at .88 cents per pound. In the 90's in Canada, wow! That pool sure looks inviting just one more day before you can enjoy it.

Hard to believe it gets in the 90's in Canada, but looks like you are across from South Dakota.
ReplyDeleteWe can get some pretty hot weather for a bit in the summer off and on, sometimes over 100 for short periods.

ReplyDeleteRun a few errands, putter around, doctors appointments, vehicle repairs, make a pizza, read and maybe if I have time wax our coach. Always something to do, Grass will need to be done in a few more days anyway.
