Where are we today ?

Wow slept in again until 5 am , that is amazing, 52F overnight and nice fresh air with our windows open. We coffees and computing taken care of and a bit of a colourful rise, I headed out for my first walkabout, couple of miles in then back home for a bit.

Then they have the 18 hole mini desert golf course here free to play with frees clubs and balls I have played it a couple of times with Suzie she won !

Then 9 am over to the Community building in Why for the flea market, crafts and yard sales. Not as many as they had last time here, but this season here is winding down, With the warmer weather people are heading out of this area.

A few crafts and things to check out, They sell coffee, drinks donuts hot dogs, hamburgers , this is a busy spot. Then a back room like a Thrift store and lotsa stuff here and lotsa clothes, and bonus, pay what you want, donations!

Back to the campground and drive Suzie around for a bit of the more remote sites I have walked by.

Then a bit later after lunch a walkabout and spotted a few wild flowers adding nice colour to the desert greenery.
Now to enjoy some afternoon reading, no bright sunshine kinda overcast, but our batteries did get a full charge by noon, even without tilting the solar panel. The sun is much higher in the sky now. Only got to 79 F with a slight breeze very comfortable afternoon.
We enjoyed a quiet happy hour chatting for a while then soon time supper. Tonight a Turkey Burger for Suzie and a tasty Chorizo burger for me, Added some Bushes Baked beans to the meal and we sure enjoyed it.

Our wonderful campsite does it for us.
Below we have the burgers grilling, beans heating up a couple of potatoes in the back for breaky tomorrow. and english muffins warming in the front.

Now back outside enjoying this wonderful warm weather 6:30 pm still 70 F no complaints here and we did get another nice desert sunset.
A fun Saturday we both enjoyed and the weather? Sure can't beat it.

DeleteI think your orange flower is a Globe Mallow, altho all mallow flowers have the 5-spots I have never seen one with the spots so pronounced. Do you know what it is? Glad you have the chance to enjoy some of the spring flowers

DeleteThere is so much beauty in the desert and you have a good eye to spot it. Interesting to have that golf course there to keep everyone entertained. I bet it will be sad for you to leave when it comes time to head home.

DeleteThanks Marlene, there is so much beauty here just love it. The mini golf is fun and there is actually so many activities going on here everyday with meals, card games, music jams, even dances, If you care to join in.
Love the pretty flowers, maybe that teddy bear cholla will bloom before you leave.

The beauty of the desert is what we enjoy especially this year with it really growing.. we will keep an eye out for some blooms everyday.

The can lifter got at a camping store years ago when I ws tenet camping sure works great.

Sounds like a perfect day. It is wonderful to see the wildflowers blooming. Those cactus up the hills there do add to the views. Nice sunset picture.

DeleteI liked the 'leased' bird in the photo above. That was cute. A sense of humour for sure. The wild flowers looked pretty, the pretty orange ones especially. Dinner looked amazing as well. I'm sure you're burger is quite spicy, it just looks spicy on the grill. Haha. Enjoy your time there!!!
