Back in November 2013 we were camped here with good friends Rob and Pat Aljoe and while here Rob and I went to visit Darryl Starrbird's
Custom National Rod and Custom car Museum museum together. We enjoyed all the custom cars and Darryl was actually here , gave us a personal tour of his shop and autographed a book that Rob purchased. You can read that posting
HERE . Well it's been a few years and I wanted to go back again to check out whats new there, always more new cars. Suzie not interested, too boring for her and nothing else she would like to do.

While reading outside Bella found us again and came by for a visit.

Enjoy a nice Happy hour while our Ribs were cooking on the grill in sauerkraut like we do. You can check that recipe on my recipe blog top right side bar.

Where have we been this Winter?
Wow! Awesome cars!!!!
ReplyDeleteUh oh - snow. You might want to drive there very slowly. Maybe it will be gone.
I love checking out all these amazing cars. We taking out time still have 9 days left for the weather to get better.
DeleteGreat selection of custom cars. Looks like a day well spent to me! A perfect day here for all the Spring Break kids, you might consider returning southwest instead of north east into the snow. Nah - family awaits!
ReplyDeleteThese are very nice cars, a lot of them built by Daryl himself. Would love to return to the southwest, but we da have to return to Canada
DeleteThere is no way I could get up as early as you do unless I did not go to bed. Those are great looking cars.
ReplyDeleteBella is such a cute dog.
When will I learn not to read your blog when I am hungry?
I am well rested so don't have a problem waking early , as I have done most of my life.
DeleteLove the cars and Bella is like having our own pet.
Now go have something to eat, lol..
Wow, wow, wow! Good post. Loved the photos. So much less of you to see in the 2019 photo :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Contessa. I do love seeing all his cars. healthier diet and walking helps keeping me feel better.
DeleteThat is an impressive collection of unique cars.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is and I only posted pictures of about 1/2 of them.
DeleteWow, fantastic cars!!! Thanks for sharing. Maybe next year we'll take a trip over there and see them in person. Love the sunset photos.
ReplyDeleteBrrr.....snow is pretty as long as we aren't in it.
These cars are sure worth seeing , and checking out his interesting life. If your enjoy these custom cars , they are amazing!
DeleteSo true about the snow too,
I swear George you never age! Those two pics 6 years apart, you look the same other than you are obviously thinner now! :) Oh boy, I bet you are in no hurry to get home with that snow. Hope it melts away by the time you arrive! Your ribs always make me hungry!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks guys, I don't feel any older, but 50 lbs lighter sure helps. No rush to get home the snow should be gone by then, we hope ! The ribs sure were tasty.
DeleteYou look the same age in both pictures.
ReplyDeleteYeah pretty much, I have looked like this for years, must be the good life!
DeleteWe also enjoyed that Museum, it would be nice to go back in a few years again. Donna is a very nice lady, we didn't meet Daryl.
ReplyDeleteNice sunny days and for sure no rush to get home. They got dumped on in our neck of the woods back home too, although double digits should melt some!
No wonder Bella comes back, such a pretty dog, she loves the treats and attention. :)
It is an amazing museum, I just have to keep going back. And chatting with Darryl twice now was a real treat. Don't wait too many years he is getting up there.
DeleteBella is a sweetie.
