Another mild night for sleep 50 F at 5 am and we had no more rain ! Wonderful. As the sun rose and warmed up the desert, I headed out for my first walkabout, 2 miles today enjoying the fresh smells of a rain washed desert and all the greenery that happens because of it.another nice desert sunrise |
everything is so green!
Even my shadow enjoyed it |
Gunsight Wash |
Then enjoyed a wonderful warm sunny afternoon temps 65 F enjoying our reading outside protected by the wind in front on our coach. What another perfect desert day. We are sure going to miss this area, the weather and desert views.

Dishes done and relaxing for a bit , and our neighbour plays taps again, 6:30 pm so I whipped outside to catch our last sunset here this spring. Gotta get back on the road again in the morning making our way back home. Heck gonna miss the playing of taps every night at sunset, maybe we will run into him again.
our last desert sunset here in Why and did not disappoint us. |
That was our last day after 2 weeks enjoying this wonderful southwest desert weather and scenery. But The hitch itch has set in gotta move on down the road again and slowly make our way back to cold Ontario weather. But get to visit with more family , the grands and friends.
Thanks for taking the time to drop for in a peek to see what we are up to.

Where have we been this Winter?
It's so green there this year. Amazing. I love the sound of Taps, you have been fortunate to hear it so many nights. You will miss it!!! Safe travels to you and Suzie!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb,It is so green loving it. And yes the neighbour playing taps every night was a treat
DeleteNice to see the road drying up. Our feiends stayed at that casino recently so you should be alright there.
ReplyDeleteIt usually is ok to park there as long as there is no concerts. Things do dry pretty quick here in the desert.
DeleteSafe travels, if the casino is packed a couple miles down the road at Camino de oesta at the light turn right and the original casino is down that road and they also have RV Parking and it is still free. There is a new Circle K on the left side Valencia and the old one on the south side corner which is boarded up that would be your right turn to the old but still in use casino. But you should be fine at the new one
ReplyDeleteThanks JO we will keep that in mind just in case.
DeleteIf you are around stop by this afternoon and say hi.
Thank you for answering the question I had about the propane tank.
ReplyDeleteSo you are on BLM land but they have showers with warm water?
No problem Ms. B. We are camped at a private campground Coyote Howls East. 650 desert sites. No Hook ups but they have facilities, laundry, dump station , clubhouse, free wifi..etc.. $42. a week or $650. for 12 months. The BLM is about 2 miles down the road is a free area.
DeleteJust when the weather is going to be nice, you are leaving!! At least you will get a couple of good days in. Everything is truly green and beautiful. Sunshine today should help dry things up a bit. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteWe did have some very nice weather here not complaining
DeleteThanks Nancy looking forward to moving on down the road again.
Safe travels today. The weather is still nice as far northeast as we are in Texas so you should be good in NM.
ReplyDeleteYou had a nice long stay at Coyote Howls and time to spin those wheels!
Thanks Patsy, we have really enjoyed it here the desert scenery. peace and quiet and the free wifi. But time to get back on the road again soon be safe to go back home.
DeleteHave a good and safe travel day to Tucson and beyond. We'll be moving again next week also to Texas. It looks pretty good back home, the concern is in-between here and there ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys, we taking out time a bit here and there. Enjoy your travels and like us we just watch the weather.
DeleteIf you had the wind we did I am sure the mud was drying up fast. Sounds like you had a very nice last day in Why.
