Another wonderful desert morning to begin our day. Sun peaking over the mountains to the east of us, right outside our dining room window. Gonna be another great day. By 8 am had my first mile of the day walked enjoying a few different roads and sights. Eventually got another mile done before lunch.
|
again love these desert sunrises |
One of my walkabouts I found this trail seldom used had been washed out with the rain a couple of weeks ago. But no campsites down here a nice quiet desert walk.
|
major water came through here |
|
then I came across a couple of these pretty yellow flowers with heart shaped petals |
|
too cool |
|
the quiet green desert |
|
like most this is one huge we cared for sites here good deal $650. 00 for 12 months |
|
another area with this Ramada and shuffle board court next to it |
|
love the yellow on this Barrel Cacstus |
After lunch a short drive down the road to check out the small casino and campground here.
|
lots of full hookup sites here, pretty busy right now |
Back home now to relax under our awning enjoying this wonderful warm sunny day 79F with next to no wind at all. Finished another John Sandford book and then right into the next page turner of this Prey series, Adventures of Lucas Davenport. Think I still have 12 more here to read. Really do love this weather and relaxing afternoons enjoying our books. I read a bit, putter around and read a bit more even a few short walkabouts as well. Actually got just over 3 miles walked today.
|
another great action filled read. |
|
the weather and the scenery we love |
One of things I got done today was to use the Protectal on the front of our coach and the vinyl graphics. Helps keep the bugs off the front of our coach and UV protector in has been saving our graphics after 20 years of exposure. Easy on and easy off.
|
we good to go again when we hit the road the bugs will slide right off |
|
still looks pretty good I think |
Then for supper tonight going to grill a couple of salmon fillets to go with our salad.
|
these cook nicely on foil |
|
yup was very tasty |
One nice thing here is we have neighbour not far away the plays
TAPS every night at sunset so we actually know when it is and can't miss it.
And once again another wonderful desert sunset here.
No complaints here at all with this amazing weather.
Thanks for stopping on by and hope y'all had a wonderful day as well.

Where have we been this Winter?
You sure take good care of your motorhome George. It's gotta last quite a few years yet.....right!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great spot to relax in the desert. Enjoy!
This is our home so like to take care of it and keep it looking good.
DeleteWe do love this area here and the weather amazing.
The shine looks great. Hope we can get ours to sparkle like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lorne it took a year or 2 to get to here, with the polishing compound and Meguiar's wax to keep it that way a couple of times a year.
DeleteLooking great there in your winter home. I thought your yellow flowers were a suncup, but the leaves do not look right. Perhaps one of your other readers can help us out.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeff we do enjoy it here, I tried to find out what the yellow flowers were but no luck they are very nice though.
DeleteYour rig looks really good all the time. You take good care of her.
ReplyDeleteThanks JO it pays to look after your home, and there is no excuse we do have the time.
DeleteNever get tired of the sunrises and sunsets. The murals around Ajo are beautiful. All the wildflowers and green in the desert is wonderful. I am thinking all the rain in January was worth it.
ReplyDeleteWe never get tired of these beautiful skies, and the January rains are making for a colourful spring.
DeleteAmazing sunrise/sunset shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks the beauty of the desert.
DeleteUgh ... you just reminded me I need to wax the front of my rig.
ReplyDeleteGood idea keep the bugs from sticking.
DeleteLooks like you are continuing to enjoy the nice weather at Why.
ReplyDeleteI love the yellow flower on the cactus too.
Good to get the coach front waxed - it should be called "Slide-Off Bugs!"
Have fun!
Yes this wonderful sunny weather is very nice, and getting hotter. we love the yellow flowers we can fin here in the desert and am sure there will be more.
DeleteAlways have fun wherever we are and I know you guys do as well. Yes the bugs do almost slide off.
Another nice sunny day, George. The rig looks darn good for 12 years of loving use.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue it was a wonderful warm day, The rig is actually 20 years old now and still going strong.
DeleteI would enjoy the playing of Taps every night. I think it's an amazing way to end off the day. A very interesting walk for certain, lots of green and those cute little flowers just added to it's beauty.
ReplyDeleteI think your coach always looks fabulous. Continue to enjoy your time there in Why!!
The playing of taps is very nice and yes a great way yo end the day. The greenery and flowers make this even nicer. Keeping out coach looking good helps us feel good about it as well thanks.
DeleteSure can't beat this weather and scenery.
Beautiful area you are at. It is very reasonable for the year to stay but I presume it will get a bit warm in the summer, will it not? You have been down there so many times that you know exactly where to be at any given time. I enjoy your pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marlene. it does get very hot here in the summer over 100F . We have learned over the years where to go for nicer weather, and it is all about elevation here in the desert the lower the warmer it is. Then it starts getting to hot move to higher elevation.
DeleteThank you for sharing all these desert photos with us. So lovely. I wonder how many others protect their decals. Good for you. Colin waxes our bus every year and we love the shine.
ReplyDeleteGlad to share them with you., I like to wax ours twice a year. Coaches newer than ours have their decals destroyed by the sun if not protected.
DeleteAfter the cool winter, I know you're enjoying the warm up.
ReplyDeleteYes Larry we sure are, much colder than usual gotta love it
