A perfect warm sunny/hot last day here, and some doggie fixes for Suzie

       Just another great sleep and even slept in again until 6 am wow! 50F and no wind this is perfect.
I headed out for a nice walkabout around the campground and by the lake for a couple of miles, enjoying the fresh morning air and sunshine.
       As we opened the door there was Bella wanting to welcome us to the day. Think maybe she wanted to come inside, but nope sorry Bella you too muddy.

        During my walk it was so nice as the sun was shining and felt so good.

     Then over to the boat launch ramp and check out the fishing hut.

      I chatted with our new neighbour Joe for a bit and Bella welcomed their dog.

         Then I took a quick trip to town for a few groceries and back home for a light lunch. Over to the Casino to use up $5.00 free slot play our neighbour Ron gave us.  Did not win much $4.00 so just kept playing the penny slots until it was all gone. No cost to me so not a loss.

     I have been in shorts all day temps in the high 70s' (loving it!) Got to enjoy some outside reading for a while soaking up the sun. Another walkabout 3 miles today.

      Before supper time we also hooked up our car in the afternoon sun, Nice that we have a pull through site and don't have to worry about that in the morning as well.

      I asked about the Goose, apparently was someones pet and they left it here 4-5 months ago. His wings have been clipped so can't fly, plus people feed him as well, where will he go? Think maybe needs to go somewhere before they get busy here in the summer, with lots of kids around.

      Bella came by again for a visit so Suzie got down and gave her a nice relaxing brushing. She almost fell asleep , Thinks she is a lap dog but way to big.

         Back home just puttered around, stored our weber Q, checked tire pressures and oil, stowed our satellite dish (we have cable here in the park), Dumped our sewage, added some fresh water and put the hoses away, getting ready for an early start in the morning and supposed to be raining. We don't have to do this in the early morning rain,  not fun.
     Got that done and some wonderful reading time, enjoying our Happy Hour.

       Then about 4 pm we hooked up our car so no need to that in the morning either.

the spirit moves us and the sun rises

       Supper tonight a couple of bone in pork chops, brown in the fry pan. sautéed some mushrooms onions and garlic, added a can of cream of mushroom soup and some water. put the lid on and simmer for about 40 minutes total cooking time. Till they were fall off the bone tender. Quick easy an so tasty.

         After supper we enjoyed some more wonderful outside weather, Finish up this posting at 6:45pm no visible sunset tonight overcast now, Thunderstorms in the forecast. But still 69 F. We will enjoy a bit more of this get some reading done for a while then head on inside to the night.
        This has been a wonderful place to hang out, love this park, they are doing so many wonderful upgrades here. The staff amazing and with our membership 10 bucks a night FHU's including very good free wifi. But time to hit the road in the morning making our way back to Ontario Canada.

Perfect spring day here in Grove Oklahoma

Where are we today ?

     Much milder last night 48F at 5 am and did get a very nice walkabout this morning first thing .Just over 2 miles to start my day. Perfect !

       I checked out the clubhouse, they are doing a complete reno. Everything will be brand new, dry wall, windows, flooring paint etc, supposed to be set up for weddings etc..

     After a light lunch I puttered around outside. maintenance stuff. Lube electric steps and hydraulic jacks. Had a nice long hot shower, , Hooked up our water hose and recharged our water softener. But when I was here this mean goose came by . Hmm ok I will walk away for a while.

      That was done gave myself a hair cut and bear trim, (Suzie doe the final touches) and can now enjoy a new book. Another John Sandford page turner in the Prey series. more adventure of Lucas Davenport.

          Reading outside on an awesome afternoon. Full sun a light breeze 74F and much warmer in the sun. And afternoon shorts for sure.

      The pool is ready to go just not heated , so not going there yet.

       We enjoyed a nice happy hour chatting and discussing our lifestyle that we love. And soon time for supper. Tonight some fresh cut fries and catfish fillets all done in our fry Daddy. I do the fries first, keep them warm on our Weber Q then the catfish.

    Now really loving this weather and this wonderful campground, Sure glad we decided to hang out here for a while.

A nice relaxing day here on Grove Oklahoma.

Where are we today ?

       Another good nights sleep totally comfy inside.  Then up as usual at 4 am and was 28F outside yup it is cold. Enjoyed my oatmeal, coffees and quiet morning reading. Then at 7 am took  nice long walkabout the campground. Down around the lake, enjoying another nice sunrise. It was quite nice out even at 30 F there was no wind at all,. Back home  Suzie and I discussed some of our travel options, checking our routes and weather. Added a bit more water to our fresh water tank then disconnect the hose again , supposed to be below freezing again tonight. Then a tasty light lunch.

       Down  by the lake this morning I enjoyed a nice sunrise.

        I wandered  around some nice cabins they rent here as well.

      After lunch I took a drive about the area for a bit and picked up a couple of things. Waiting for the day to warm up a bit more. but so far overcast and just a light breeze, this is ok.
       We did get our chairs outside to read for a while off and on and a comfortable 65F after some  sunshine. A bit chilly but we just put on an extra sweater and were good. I came inside for a bit and tried once again to adjust our one sliding door roller on the bottom. Need the roller to drop down into the track to keep the door square. No matter what I tried, no luck. Hmm tried to remove the roller but again no luck. It needs to be extended downward to get it off. The door still works but we need to be careful with it.

   Another walkabout I spotted a few Canada geese , hanging out, ready the north like we are doing.

         While we were enjoying some reading time outside Bella  came by for a visit , always nice to see her stop by for a visit and a rub, what a sweetie.

        Happy hour for us, we chatted for a while and enjoyed a tasty snack, below.

     Soon time to whip up supper. Tonight a couple of boneless, skinless chicken  breasts on our grill mat and this very tasty Bourbon BBQ sauce.

         Still outside at 7:30 managed to catch another nice sunset here to and another wonderful day here.

       Up nice and early this morning as usual and heck it was 31 F, we comfy in here at least no problem nice that we have dual pane windows makes for a comfy life style. Turned our heater on and we good to goo for the day.
      Headed out for an early walkabout , even though there was no wind at all it was actually quite comfortable with this cool weather. Enjoy the fresh air nice views. a few coyotes and owls in the distance.

           Back in November 2013 we were camped here with good friends Rob and Pat Aljoe and while here Rob and I went to visit Darryl Starrbird's  Custom National Rod and Custom car Museum  museum together. We enjoyed all the custom cars and Darryl was actually here , gave us a personal tour of his shop and autographed a book that Rob purchased. You can read that posting HERE . Well it's been a few years and I wanted to go back again to check out whats new there, always more new cars. Suzie not interested, too boring for her and nothing else she would like to do.

     Back home for the afternoon and we can enjoy this wonderful warm sunny day, Only 54f but nit much wind and full sunny skies, this is wonderful . Enjoying some fresh air and reading outside in the sun.

While reading outside Bella found us again and came by for a visit.

she wanted a rub and Suzie took care of that

we gave her a treat just because we had some

   Enjoy a nice Happy hour while our Ribs were cooking on the grill in sauerkraut like we do. You can check that recipe on my recipe blog top right side bar.

     Added a small can go creamed corn for Suzie, (not for me) and glazed the ribs on our grill mat.

    Then to reading outside for a while still pretty comfortable until about 7:30  , caught a nice sunset then inside to wrap up this posting. And watch the tube for a bit before calling it a night.

     No we are not in a hurry to get back home. This picture below SIL Sandy sent us this morning, This is what they woke up to. We will be parking back by that round building for a bit when we get back.
