Just another day in paradise and we loving it. Up again too early but I am good at that. As the sun began to rise I headed out for my first walkabout, at 7 am, 2 miles before 8 am feels good. And the rising sun and blue skies are heating things up nicely.

this site had a nice train display |
As I headed out this is the almost sunrise we enjoyed below.

Was in shorts, t-shirt and sandals by 11 am. At 9:30 this morning our new friend Bill from Canada came by to show me the way to their campsite to set up their Star choice dish. Dish was set up and levelled, I changed to the proper settings. First the cable hookup did not work so we moved the cable direct inside to his receiver. Then try as we might could not get a signal. Ok plan B get our receiver from home and hook it up. Yahoo, we have a good signal. Now hooked his back up again and first message said he needs a receiver refresh. Ok not much more I can do, I will let them be and hopefully the refresh will do the trick. It has been unplugged for over a month so think that may be the issue. If not I can't help him, and not giving them our receiver! Even though he did buy us a dozen Bud Light that we enjoy. Thanks Bill and Terry. They stopped by this afternoon and after their refresh they now have all their channels and satellite dish is working again. So glad that they now have it working again they have seasonal site and here for the winter. We will enjoy the beer thanks again guys.

Back home it was 75F and this very intense sun here is brutal. Needed our awning deployed for a while just because we could
|
we do need some shade |
Most of our neighbours are gone so we are almost by ourselves again, perfect !
|
so peaceful here |
Back into our page turners again. I finished a J.A, Jance novel on my Kobo and started the next one in this series.
|
another page turner for me |
I did a couple more walkabouts between reading and caught a picture of this rainbow, below even though we had no rain, guess somebody did?
|
a nice desert rainbow |
Later on it was time to whip up supper so I made a salad, preheated our Weber Q and grilled a HUGE boneless skinless chicken breast on our grill mat with the sun setting and another wonderful desert sunset it was.
Not too long for this chicken breast on the grill mat, put some very tasty Bourbon BB sauce on it and was yummy, will need some more of this sauce for sure!
Much more than we could eat, split this breast and more leftovers for some tasty lunches.

so moist, tender and juicy
we both enjoy this |
After supper taking the garbage out I enjoyed a wonderful desert walk under a clear starlit evening. Another thing we love about the desert. No light pollution and amazing starlit nights.
Now our day almost done, gonna relax in front to the Tv in my wonderful very comfortable new recliner and try to stay awake long enough to watch a show with Suzie, If not she will wake me to go to bed.
Hey, thanks for dropping on by today, we are living the dream and love every minute of it.

Where have we been this Winter?
Wonderful sunset pictures George. I love Bourbon Sauce on any chicken, it's soooo good.
ReplyDeleteVery nice of you to help your fellow Canadians, I"m sure they were very happy.
I agree about the intensity of the sun some days, just need some shade from time to time.
I found this sauce the other day at Olson's in Ago and wanted to try it, it is very tasty. I enjoy helping others if I can, Setting up a satellite dish can be difficult if you not sure what to do. They are happy now they are here for the winter.
DeleteTo relax in this hit sun with no clouds it is amazingly warm. Just a little shade helps.
Nice warm day to enjoy your walkabout and some quiet time for a bit of reading. The low angle of the sun does require the need for shade to enjoy the e-readers.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very nice day we enjoyed and a bonus to have a bit of shade and enjoy our reading.
DeleteSounds like another wonderful relaxing day. Great sunset pictures and the rainbow was a nice catch.
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys it was a great day, looking forward to more of them.
DeleteGreat sunset pictures. Last year I caught a picture of a coyote hanging out near the Why store. There is always something interesting to see there.
ReplyDeleteWe saw the coyote there last year as well, but no sign of any so far this year, other than hearing them at night.
