Heading further west to California, and meeting up with good friends. Rock Glen California reunion.

         This morning was starting with a nice sunrise slowly, lighting the skies and giving some wonderful colors. No real rush to day, just puttered around for a bit after my first mile walked, Then we secure the coach, Went to the dump station, hooked up the car, pulled out at 8:30 am and headed on out to our next destination towards Yuma.

        I just kept walking, enjoying the quiet morning and enjoying the sunrise as its quickly unfolded .

then we got this, amazing!

     By 8;30 we were on 85 north to Gila Bend to pick up I-8 west towards Yuma.

        Then heading west on I-8 as we have done many times in the past, passing this amazing field of solar mirrors. So much power generated here.

          Moving right along, stopped at the Pilot/Flying J to fuel our coach exit 12.  Gas was only $2'44 a gallon another good price.
      Just past Yuma and across the California state line we pulled into Pilot Knob Resort, another membership park we really enjoy. Now here for 2 weeks. on a wonderful corner site. With out AOR membership only $14.00 a night FHUs.

     We checked in and got a nice corner site close to our friends from Ontario, All of us members of Rock Glen Resort in Ontario where we all met years ago. Saw Ron when we checked in then pulled onto our site, Welcomed by our friends.

       A bit later we got all set up on our corner site, But heck where did the warm sunshine go?  This is California only 65F and overcast. Oh, well not cold and no snow we can live with this and it will get better.

    Rob came by and invited us to Happy hour inside at their trailer, 65 F and no sun, too cold for them outside !
    We had a fun time flapping our gums, sharing stories, tips and comparing notes as we always do when we get together.

         We had all decided to got to the clubhouse for dinner tonight only $5.00 each  a pretty good deal.

       For supper Suzie and I each got a chicken burger,  beans, chips and red velvet cake. And hey for the price was pretty good.

     Supper done and  a nice walk back home and even managed to catch a bit of this desert sunset .

        Now we home relaxing inside after a fun busy day. Sure nice to see our good friends again all in one place over Christmas.
