Where have we been this Winter?
Beautiful sunset!
ReplyDeleteThanks we enjoyed it.
DeleteLovely blue skies, warm temperatures, and a beautifUl sunset. Sounds like a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys it was an excellent day as most days are here in the southwest.
DeleteDo the 'buffalo' roam in Alabama? Bison is pretty common in the local 'yuppie shops', it is pretty tasty altho we are not willing to pay the asking price. You must have found a good deal. Enjoy that great weather while you can.
ReplyDeleteThese Buffalo are raised on a ranch. We don't do Yuppie shops and have never tried it so this local butcher there in Robertsdale had some a bit more pricey than beef, but leaner so wanted to give it a try. I got 4 burgers out of it
DeleteIT was a gorgeous sunset. I'm making a new blogger list as I go
ReplyDeleteWe love the Arizona Sunsets, so colourful and always interesting.
DeleteSaw the can on the Webber and after a long pause said to myself, "Oh, he's warming the beans!" Never have I seen that done in the can before. Good idea--don't have to wash a pot. Have to add some bacon fat drippings to the ground bison meat before grilling because the meat is sort of dry for Beach and me. Maybe because it is a very lean meat.
ReplyDeleteHeating beans and other canned things like stew, veggies etc,on the BBQ or over a campfire I have done since I was a kid. The Bison is very lean that's why I wanted to try it. Cooked to medium rare it is still quite juicy.
DeleteDinner looks awesome for sure! Your food pics always make me hungry!! I"m sure someone will appreciate your chair hope you find a new owner! Gotta love the desert sunsets for sure!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys it was very tasty. It is a nice chair but just want something different and a bit smaller.
DeleteNothing quite like the desert sunsets.
I gather from the picture, that there is no stirring of the beans necessary during the cooking. Going to have to dry Bison Burgers. You always give me great ideas for meals.
ReplyDeleteNo stirring Peter you only have to heat them up works wonderful. The Bison was very tasty and very lean , more expensive but a nice treat.
DeleteWe had a local bison breeder here for awhile. He supplied all the small markets with bison meat. It's pretty good, but yes, a little pricier. Gorgeous sunset!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy it was a pretty good day we had. The bison was nice just had to try it.
DeleteAre you going to be stopping by when you are in the area? I'm trying to figure out who knew us. Don and Sharon live in Benson as well as Frank and Gloria.
ReplyDeleteWe are not going that way this time, heading to Why then Yuma area. I walked by the morning and their plaque on the front says it was Curtis and Stephanie from Idaho.
DeleteMaybe catch up with again another time.
There is good shopping in Sierra Vista, we loved that town. Now I'm curious what that new chair of yours looks like. The old one is not too bad at all so you should find a new owner no problem, I think. Keep posting pictures of your RV site and area, we are considering for next time. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteWe do enjoy this area. The chair I want is actually a reclining gaming chair, very comfortable, The old one is heavy and I am tired of spending money on it replacing the cables. This new chair is less expensive than replacing the 2 broken cables and much lighter, Just need to get rid of it. This campground is nice , we like it, the reasonable rates, free wifi and an area we enjoy.
DeleteLove the sunset picture. Hope you enjoy the new chair.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, hope we can get rid of this one so that we can get the new one .
DeleteHi Goerge, Gayle and John are in Mexico again this year. Will try and pass on the folks name that are looking for them.
ReplyDeleteThat would be wonderful Bill thanks bunches.
DeleteI didn't know there are Bison in Alabama. Or maybe they don't have any anymore if you can get Bison meat there... :cD
ReplyDeleteThese Bison were grown on a ranch locally, not so much in the wild.
