Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
A pretty good sleep last night , not as good as the previous two but still better that we have been having. Got some coffee and cereal into me then shortly after 9 we headed into New Hamburg, I dropped Suzie off at her Dads to help him with some computer stuff, Then I headed into Life Labs to let the pretty vampires such some more of my blood.  a few minutes a text from Suzie. WE GOT THE APARTMENT ! Yeah!!! from there to the health food store for some natural sleep aides, Pharmacy for some masks for when I go in the hospital, my immune system will be down and don't want to catch any thing like our Doctor advised. No Frills for some Almond milk and Ginger ale that seems to settle my tummy, picked her back up and back home for a light light lunch, I was craving a corn beef sandwich on rye so got some of that yummy hit the spot today.
Then at 1:30 we headed into Stratford to sign the one year lease for our apartment and take some measurements. We are moving right along, another few things off our minds, we have a move in date of Nov 7th and plan to move forward as quickly as possible. Furniture is paid for and Francs furniture will move it in that day. Plus will need some help to unload the
We picked up some prepared food at the Zehr's deli counter in Stratford, so that will take care of a few meal here as well. I am not hungry or even feel like eating or cooking, (Suzie can cook), but we will try this for a few days.
I stretched after supper for a bit about 5:30 it felt so good. Got back up and finished this posting, not adding any more pictures, Relaxed in front of the Tv with DR HO on my back and some Sleepy Time Tea winding down even more, hoping to get a real good nights sleep
Thanks for dropping by to and hope y'all had a good one as well.
       Good night!

Here is a few snow pictures I have from my past
hope not that this bad this year

I found a few pictures from the winter of 1977 taken and my house in Waterloo at the time. this snow all came down in one day, I vividly remember shovelling, I was shovelling hoping is was all done, running out of places to pile it. I was working at the bus terminal down for the Highway coach. the were grounds here at the terminal as were many people. So we had to keep it open all night so these people at least to give them a place to keep warm there was some hotels available but no way to get there, the city was shut down!
These are the only winter pictures I have on my computer though I have many more in storage.
The front door
path to the front door
I found my car and dug it out
We have had enough of the cold wet snowy winter weather over 55 years, so in 2006 sold our house and followed the sun to warmer much nicer winter weather. This year it will not happen, but at least we don't have to go to work and just head out when the weather is decent, and no snow to shovel. Se have a new cozy apartment moving in  Nov 7th. Looking forward to it. Another chapter in our lives.

  2. OMG! I grew up in the midwest but we never saw anything like that! Holy cow! 1977. I had been in California for two years and started my first real job with a computer company. Life is so full of memories, you just have to share them sometimes. That's the best thing about a blog. Hang in there, the corned beef sounds really good. Keep posting.

  3. I remember that snow storm of 77. I and eight other fellas had to spend the night in the factory we worked at in Stratford. Slept on the boardroom floor. That's great you got the apartment. Something good to look forward to getting things all set up. You will be as snug as a bug in rug in there. And no snow shovelling, now that's a bonus.

  4. Wonderful news. Now you best rest up tomorrow for your big day on Wednesday. Um.. maybe you better add purchasing a snow shovel to that to do list. You might want to shovel a path from the apartment direct to your parking spot. Easier to unload groceries, etc. Sleep well tonight.

    1. Rest tomorrow is the plan , I have a small snow shovel in the truck of the car, and it will be parked right outside our door or the front doors are under cover.

  5. That day might have been the one it took me over 6 hours to get home on the city bus from Waterloo to Kitchener, normally about 45 minutes. Periodically we had to get off the bus and push deserted cars out of the way so the bus could continue. Gord.

  11. Hey George,
When you don't feel like eating and I'm sure you'll have more of this in your treatments, go to your favorite thing, chicken noodle soup. There's a reason people used to eat this when they got sick. It goes down easy and it's all good for you, has what you need. For some reason today the doctors recommend everything else, so called healthy stuff, everything but this but it's still the best stuff.
Good health and I hope your winter isn't too bad this year. :O)

  17. I've only heard and seen pictures of snow like this. We get snow and sometimes quite a lot - usually the worse is 12" or just a little more....and we think we have it bad! HA! That is serious snow in your picture. Please never send it too far south. LOL!
I'm happy to hear you have the apartment and you will be moving in soon. It will help to have that off your mind.
