Overcast and rainy over night. And still raining this morning at 5 am 52F outside and the sound of the rain on the roof is so soothing. Needless to say no walkabout this morning. Lots of huge water puddles a bit muddy in places and rivers running through the desert and some of the washes are starting to fill up. Hey the dusty roads aren't dusty they are pretty muddy right now.we have a river right beside us |
the small washes have water as well |
Stopped by the Reader's Oasis and found out that Paul Winer the naked book store guy is selling out all his books and now has created a Music Hall and he has some shows coming in the near future.
Paul's New Music Hall |
Soon time for a light lunch and then another quick drive to town to refill your 5 gallon water jug with reverse osmosis water, $1:25 for 5 gallons. This drive up 95 into town I passed through one wash across the road had maybe 6 inches of water in it sure sprayed all the vehicles going through it.
Here we are with our good friends 5 couples 10 people and three of them are also bloggers (plus us) Tom and Deb (Celebrating the Dance), Bill and Patsy . Here we are waiting for the rain to stop, and enjoy some time outside in the wonderful desert we all love. And of these people 4 of us couples are from Rock Glen Resort in Ontario. again a small world.
wonderful views this afternoon of the clouds in the mountains |
our dusty road is not dusty for a while right now |
Supper tonight going to make a spaghetti squash, with tomato sauce and some of our leftover turkey, nice and light no carbs, but now to spoil that I made some garlic bread with cheese (hot dog buns). This was tasty and really hit the spot. I like to use the microwave too cook the spaghetti squash, and was a prefect day to it. With not much sun to charge our batteries, the genny with help charge them up at the same time.
A very tasty supper we both enjoyed |
That was it for our desert day. Lotsa rain a bit cooler, and a bit muddy. But we did get inside things taken care of and looking forward to some nicer warm desert days soon with no rain. Sure is better than the snow they are getting back home!
Now thanks again for stopping on by.

Where have we been this Winter?
Love the pictures of the clouds shrouded in clouds. All this rain should bring beautiful wild flowers
ReplyDeleteThank JO we sure would be wonderful to enjoy some spring flowers like w saga few years ago is amazing to see.
DeleteWTH ???? Say it's not true! The Naked Bookseller (and his daughter) are Legends at the 'Q' - LEGENDS! Will he continue his music? Got tears ... there's a link between a father and daughter that just cannot be broken. Hang in there Paul! We need you, Celia needs you and your boogie-woogie piano!
ReplyDeleteYes Jeff it is sad, but he does have some shows scheduled at his Music Hall, or as he calls it his living room. We do love his tribute to Celia and her rainbow garden, And his boogie-woogie piano and great music is wonderful hope we can see him play again.
DeletePlease tell the rain to stop so I don't end up in a flood!! Are we really in Arizona?? Land of SUN???
ReplyDeleteOk, I told it stop and now it has, the sun will shine on us once again. The rain and sunshine will give us some wonderful desert spring flowers.
DeleteWe spent a couple of wet times in Q. Looks like next week should be beautiful. And those spring flowers will really be wow.
ReplyDeleteToday is starting off bright and sunny hopefully good for a while especially next week will be awesome.
DeleteRained on and off all day yesterday in Tacna Az. Does not look as much as Q. Hope the water drains away for the weekend, as was thinking of heading up your way.
ReplyDeleteWe did get quite a bit and is drying up nicely already.
DeleteThe rain is moving on and now we'll get some sunshine to dry things up and warm our heart, body and soul!
ReplyDeleteToo bad about Paul, he has a ton of things to sell in that shop, wow!
It was fun seeing everyone last night at our joint 'sun dance'. ;)
Not sure if the book store is actually closed yet, But he is doing some music shows.
DeleteIt is drying up nicely after we did our sun dance last night.
Hoping the weather clears, but you make the best of every day for sure. Hope Paul's new adventure works for him. I've never been in the book shop but certainly have heard and seen pictures. Dinner looks amazing, you know how we love spaghetti squash. Actually made the pizza crust last night..yum!
ReplyDeleteThe weather is clearing today nicely . His book shop is sure interesting.
DeleteDinner was excellent and we too love our spaghetti squash.
You folks had a lot more rain than we did. We have a few puddles but nothing is running in any of the washes. It's supposed to clear up here now, warm sunny skies ahead.
ReplyDeleteDinner looked wonderful.
We did get a good amount of rain here but now drying up wonderfully
DeleteDinner very tasty.
Thank heavens those are clouds and not snow around the mountains! :c)
ReplyDeleteThat's for sure really don't want to see snow that's why we are here.
