After a fun day yesterday and good night's sleep and up early before the sunrise of another wonderful day. Coffees etc then securing our coach to head into RV Lifestyle in Quartzsite for 8 am to get our slide out seal replaced. After all it is over 20 years old and we have discovered a water leak around it when it rains. So best to get that repaired before any water damage is done. Our go to place to get rv repairs done when we are here in the southwest. We have found very good service here and reliable over the years.Arrived here at 7:50 am and checked in. Hang out in their lounge , enjoying our e readers, and watch a bit of news on their TV. Walked around the building a few times got some exercise and actually got 3 miles in today. They finally got the coach inside about 10:30 and started working on it. It will be a while.
love this Saguaro cactus out back too bad it is beside the dumpster |
this guys treat us really well |
nice lounge to relax, free coffee and popcorn the guys beside us making a huge puzzle |
they got this slide out seal in but after all did not need to use it saved a few hundred bucks |
these seals still good, it is the eterna bond on top of the slide that is damaged |
nice Yacht Club in the desert |
a very tasty fish and chip lunch we enjoyed |

Still waiting so I went to the Jerky store (yes it is really good, free samples) But I was interested in their hot sauces and BBQ sauces. They do have an amazing selection here. The Jerky was tasty, I had a few samples.
so many unique sauces to choose from |
I settled on a the Bourbon BBQ sauce, that Suzie will like and the Habanero sauce for me, oh ya! |
looks like they had a fun Happy Hour |
A nice way to end up a long day and some more wonderful desert wether to boot. Got our slid issues taken care of, and hope we are goo to go for a while once again.

Your rig is really nice and for 25 she looks great. I know you both feel good about the repair.
ReplyDeleteThanks JO we like to take care of here the best we can. This is our house. Yes we bot feel good about it, no more water leaks
DeleteAlways seems to be something that needs fixing eh. :O) I work on my list but it never seems to get shorter as things just keep getting added.
ReplyDeleteYes Bob always some thing fo fix no matter where you live The list never goes away.
DeleteI love it when I can get stuff done. I didn't know they worked on things like that. Maybe I'll get there early next year and have some things fixed.
ReplyDeleteThey do a lot of repairs there RV related other than Chassis work. They have fixed our furnace, this slide, water leak , electrical transfer switch and installed our Blue Flame heater, Also installed new fridge to Tom and Deb. Make an appointment and set it up when you are in the area.
DeleteThat does sound like a long day, no wonder you were whipped! Nice that you got to save a couple of hundred dollars though :) Never have been inside the Yacht Club so thanks for those pictures. Lunch looked tasty. Do they do any welding at RV Lifestyles? We need something welded on the sway bar. Nice you were able to hit the tail end of happy hour. Beautiful sunset to end the day!
ReplyDeleteIt was a very long day, and hopefully takes care of the water leak. The Yacht Club was pretty nice and the large cover porch nice at well. Saving money is good, Back home and set up before dark was prefect. Yes they do welding there, Welded a bracket for us last year I think it was, maybe 2 years ago.
DeleteGreetings from Tennessee, OAT. Not trying to hijack your blog, but has anyone heard from Tioga George in the last few days? Posts on his blog have come to a sudden halt. Anyone know what’s up?
ReplyDeleteNo Dave I have not heard from him lately at all. I have seen few questions and inquiries asking the same question.
DeleteYou can comment here anytime Super Dave.
Thank you! We readers of your blogs feel like we know you. 🙂
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you along for the ride.
DeleteThere is nothing more tiring than sitting around waiting for something.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got your issues taken care of and now you can relax when it rains.
It did make for a long day, but now have that issue taken care of. Looking forward to the rain to make sure it does not leak anymore.
DeleteNice selection of hot sauces! I'll have to remember that next time we're in the area looking to spice things up.
ReplyDeleteThey do have an amazing selection of hot sauces I discovered a few years ago.
DeleteGlad that you got your coach fixed. A long day but it feels good to get the problem taken care of. I'm still longing for some pizza from Silly Al's. The salad looked good too.
ReplyDeleteIt was a long day but nice to get that taken care of.
DeleteLove Silly Al's
Long day but as you said it is now finished. Always nice to have those things finished.
ReplyDeleteRiley said thanks for the comment on the jerky, she's been wondering about slipping in and getting a sample or two. I may slip in and check out the Bourbon BBQ Sauce. Glad you made it for a bit of happy hour at least. Keep on having fun.
Yes we feel better now this fix is taken care of and nice to get back before dark.
DeleteLots of excellent jerky there and sauces galore.
Every day is fun as you two know.
Wow, a busy day! Is there not a moblile propane guy doing the rounds? Sounds to me there is a niche market there…
ReplyDeleteThere might be a mobile propane guy, but would be much more expensive. It is not a big deal to move our coach, Just thought I would top it up while we were out.
DeleteThat is NOT a Hemi that is a Cadillac North-star in that sandrail. The North-star motor was very popular 10 years ago, now they all Run the LS Corvette motors. The North-star is dual overhead cam and will way out rev the LS V-8 but the LS is way easier to get nowadays.
ReplyDeleteThank you Chris for the correction I had a Hemi back in the 60's and looked like mine but I am sure it would be pretty quick in that sandraill.
DeleteUgh! Water leaks. They are the worst of RV problems (next to fridge fires). Glad your leak was so minor, sometimes you win. :c)
ReplyDeleteYes water leaks can be a nightmare. Hopefully tis solves the problem.
