Repairs done. Yacht club for lunch and back home again

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
After a fun day yesterday and good night's sleep and up early before the sunrise of another wonderful day. Coffees etc then securing our  coach to head into RV Lifestyle in Quartzsite for 8 am to get our slide out seal replaced. After all it is over 20 years old and we have discovered a water leak around  it when it rains. So best to get that repaired before any water damage is done. Our go to place to get rv repairs done when we are here in the southwest. We have found very good service here and reliable over the years.
Arrived here at 7:50 am and checked in. Hang out in their lounge , enjoying our e readers, and watch a bit of news on their TV. Walked around the building a few times got some exercise and actually got 3  miles in today. They finally got the coach inside about 10:30 and started working on it. It will be a while.
love this Saguaro cactus out back too
bad it is beside the dumpster
this guys treat us really well
nice lounge to relax, free coffee and popcorn
the guys beside us making a huge puzzle
they got this slide out seal in but
after all did not need to use it
saved a few hundred bucks
these seals still good, it is the eterna bond on top of the slide
that is damaged

It was now lunch time so we headed over to the Yacht Club for lunch. And enjoyed their tasty cod fish snd  chip dinner. Sure hit the spot.
nice Yacht Club in the desert
a very tasty fish and chip lunch we enjoyed
Now after lunch over to the Library to use their free wifi, check emails and update our devices.
a very nice library here we enjoy
back to check out progress, slide trim off
and most of the work done inside

love this sand rail here would be fast
5 passenger with a Hemi!
this Hemi sure would sail through the dunes
Still waiting so I went to the Jerky store (yes it is really good, free samples) But I was interested in their hot sauces and BBQ sauces. They do have an amazing selection here. The Jerky was tasty, I had a few samples.
so many unique  sauces to choose from
I settled on a the Bourbon BBQ sauce, that Suzie will like
and the Habanero sauce for me, oh ya!
Finally done at RV lifestyles, they also installed a new exhaust pipe support for our generator. I filled our fresh water tank while there to save time, Then sent Suzie back for happy Hour, I filled the coach with gas and went for Propane to 4 places. the first two were closed already at 5 pm , next one sold out and the other out of business, I give up will come back tomorrow.  Ok we are almost empty but not quite after 25 days boon docking our 100 lb tank is getting low.  So headed home stopped to dump our sewage and picked up the tail end of happy hour here for a bit and a another nice desert sunset. Set up a bit and relaxed for the evening inside. It was a very long tiring day, we are both beat. Will need to take the coach out tomorrow for propane but that is not a big issue for us.
looks like they had a fun Happy Hour
Then we did get a decent sunset to wind up our busy day , makes it all that much better.
A nice way to end up a long day and some more wonderful desert wether to boot. Got our slid issues taken care of, and hope we are goo to go for a while once again.
Thanks for stopping by and hope your winter weather was pretty decent as well.

  4. That does sound like a long day, no wonder you were whipped! Nice that you got to save a couple of hundred dollars though :) Never have been inside the Yacht Club so thanks for those pictures. Lunch looked tasty. Do they do any welding at RV Lifestyles? We need something welded on the sway bar. Nice you were able to hit the tail end of happy hour. Beautiful sunset to end the day!

  5. Greetings from Tennessee, OAT. Not trying to hijack your blog, but has anyone heard from Tioga George in the last few days? Posts on his blog have come to a sudden halt. Anyone know what’s up?

  11. Wow, a busy day! Is there not a moblile propane guy doing the rounds? Sounds to me there is a niche market there…

    1. There might be a mobile propane guy, but would be much more expensive. It is not a big deal to move our coach, Just thought I would top it up while we were out.

  12. That is NOT a Hemi that is a Cadillac North-star in that sandrail. The North-star motor was very popular 10 years ago, now they all Run the LS Corvette motors. The North-star is dual overhead cam and will way out rev the LS V-8 but the LS is way easier to get nowadays.

    1. Thank you Chris for the correction I had a Hemi back in the 60's and looked like mine but I am sure it would be pretty quick in that sandraill.

  13. Ugh! Water leaks. They are the worst of RV problems (next to fridge fires). Glad your leak was so minor, sometimes you win. :c)
