Where are we today ?

Another good sleep and getting warmer overnight great for sleeping with a window open and no heat on. About 48F at 5 am and warming nicely as the sunrise shortly after 7 am. With no wind it was a good morning for a nice walkabout, got my first 3 miles in shortly after 8 am.
Then I headed into town to top up our 5 gallon RO water jug only $1;25 for 5 gallons of good drinking water.

Now our light tasty lunch sure did the trick. And these so tasty, mineola oranges we love are awesome.

After lunch we had some visitors Deb and Riley fellow bloggers and full timers (their blog is here
ON A LONG AND LONESOME HIGHWAY) we have known for a while, so nice that they stopped on by. For a wonderful visit. Always nice to catch up again and reconnect with them what a super family they are mother a daughter enjoying a full-time lifestyle.

Today we had we decided to go the
Silly Al's in town. Our second time this year for us and the best pizza we have ever had. and the saying goes "
if you have not been to Silly Al's you have not been to Quartzsite. " Their excellent made to order hand stretched pizza is just the way I used to make in my restaurant. Sure is worth the stop and wait for a great pizza!
We arrived at 3:40 pm and George was saving a parking spot for us right in front of the door. Thanks George ! We wanted a table for 12 but 3 tables for 4 was quicker and works just as well. Lotsa noise so our smaller tables worked well.

Service was pretty good considering how busy they were, we got our drinks quickly our salad later then our wonderful pizza. Time to chat with Tom and Deb and enjoy some very tasty pizza.

Surprised we were out of there by 5:30 and back home so we all sat outside to chat, some more(much quieter here) and enjoy a so so sunset to night, Not great but better than none.

Enjoying this great desert weather and warming sunshine is why we are here.
Fun day visiting with friends and a very tasty Pizza for supper.

DeleteIt was great to see Deb and Riley today and great to experience Silly Al's with our friends again this year. We decided to skip the appetizer and just dig in on the pizza and it was delicious!

DeleteOh yum salad and pizza look awesome! Nice that Deb and Riley stopped by to visit for a bit. Even if you would have got a table for 12 it's difficult to talk to more than 3 or 4 anyway, so that was a good way to go for sure. Great sunrise and sunset pictures.

ReplyDeleteYou have made some good time. Hope you enjoy Tucson we have explored there many times. We prefer the Yuma area usually much warmer. And so different again.
DeleteIt was another wonderful day. It was a nice surprise to have Deb and Riley stop in for a visit plus our friends. Then pizza at Silly Al's with the gang was fun. Good food and always nice chatting with you and Suzie. Happy Hour watching the sunset was a bonus to end the day.
