After another good nights sleep up early getting coffees consumed and waiting for the sunrise and this morning did no disappoint us again. A nice walkabout for a while, puttered around for a while then packed up our satellite dish, hooked up the car and head on out to Quartzsite Arizona, where we will hang out there for a while. We always enjoy this area as well as the many areas we return to.really we had to go here today! |

heading east past the sand dunes that we love |
The by the proving grounds for the US Army we have pasted by many times and you will as well you travel this road.
Now continuing up 95 to Quartzsite after the proving grounds.
Heading it to Q and the Big tent is almost ready to go for Jan 19th when all hell brakes loose here.
First stop was to top up our propane. It has been almost 6 weeks and we were just about empty. That taken care of we found a wonderful sunny spot in the desert. Set up blocking the light north wind and it was very hot in the sun, yup this is good.

Where have we been this Winter?
Is the LTVA permit you purchased at the Hot Springs also valid here?, they are both BLM LTVA areas. You're there early enough to setup in your 'prime'spot! Enjoy the pizza while you can, Al's is going to get busy!
ReplyDeleteThe LTVA permit is good for all of these areas so we use the permits and keep on moving. There is lots of prime spots so that is not a problem here. Al's is busy already, no problem getting a table for 2.
DeleteLooks nice and not many RV's around. Had lunch with a friend today who is heading back to the Q
ReplyDeleteIt is nice and so much space no need to be crowded.
DeleteWelcome neighbour. We were in Yuma for the Day.
ReplyDeleteSee you soon.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Thanks guys tome to enjoy some more of this funky town.
DeleteWe be around for a while.

DeleteLucky you, we love Silly Al's!
ReplyDeleteYes we do love it there too.
DeleteSunrise and sunset..beautiful!! Silly Al's YUM!! I'm jealous! haha. Looks like a great spot you've got there once again!
ReplyDeleteYes we do love the desert skies. And Silly Al's excellent as usual.
DeleteThe "best " pizza in our opinion too. Had some when we were there not long ago. Glad that you have found a nice spot.
ReplyDeleteWe have a nice spot and topped off with an excellent pizza. Awesome.
DeleteGee, that spot looks familiar! But then all desert spots look the same! :) Glad you got your first Silly Al's fix, we are looking forward to ours too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the Q! See you soon.
It is a wonderful desert spot, but like you said most of there are wonderful as well.
DeleteYou guys travel safe and enjoy your travels.
Yes see ya soon.
Looks like a nice spot and there are a lot of them out here. We will have to take 95 North to Quartzsite one of these years. Looks like an interesting drive. Sounds as though Silly Al's is also something we may try when we get to the Q. Enjoy!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice drive up 95 a long one though.
DeleteIf you like good pizza Silly al's is THE place, though always busy.
Sure wish we were there too, soon I hope. We are supposed to meet some friends from the island there, but it may be a week or two until we can get away.
ReplyDeleteHopefully things will work out for you and Skip gets feeling better soon. We will be looking for you when you get to this area.
DeleteFor the first time since December 14, 2018, I received you blog by email. I don't have any idea why it stopped and don't know why it decided to start up again. I've gone through all the motions and nothing worked so I gave up on it about a week ago. Today I open my emai and there it was. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you back Frank. I added your email address to my site here so maybe that fixed it?
DeleteWe are at Plomosa Rd.with the Boomers.
ReplyDeleteGotta love Quartzsite, have fun with the boomers group.
DeleteThat pizza does look delicious andI can’t wait to try one myself and Benno too, I’m sure of it. You’ll probably get some neighbors when the tent starts but there must be enough room to fit several hundred rigs. Maybe we’ll run into you during the show. Anyway enjoy the time out there!
ReplyDeleteTheir pizza is excellent sure worth try. Lotsa room here over a million rv's here in Quartzsite every winter and still room for lots more. I know of some neighbours we are expecting and plenty of room for them here too.
DeleteGlad Suzie was able to come up with such a good menu for dinner! Looks delish!
ReplyDeleteYes Stew she did an amazing job of it, Awesome pizza.
