Another wonderful desert day what more can we ask for?

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Another wonderful desert morning 44F at 5 am gonna be a nice day. Right away I put the turkey bones  on to boil for a tasty soup broth. By 7:30 the soup and ingredients are simmering away.
Got a nice walkabout 2.8 miles today, then back home shut the soup off and Suzie headed into Blythe  California with me for the ride just because she could. I always enjoy when she comes along though she does not do this very often.
a nice sunrise heading our way
me and my shadow on my walkabout
think I grew taller!
passed by this saguaro on my wayback home
In Blythe Ca stopped at Smart and Final and Albertson's for a few supplies not available in Quartzsite then back home by 11am, heated the soup up and enjoyed this very tasty turkey soup. We do love our homemade soups
love the drive to Blythe and back over the mountains
a nice big pot of Turkey soup smells yummy
a very tasty lunch we enjoyed
Now this is another wonderful sunny desert day. what's not to like about that, much better than to cold and snow back home. The views here are amazing .
Then deployed our awning, to enjoy a bit of shade from this wonderful intense desert sun. 63F in the shade but in the sun is very hot. Had a nice hot  shower, put some pork back ribs on the Weber Q with Sauerkraut and let them go for a couple of hours to get tender. For that recipe you can click HERE or my recipe blog top right side under Pork Ribs n the Q
Now to enjoy reading our page turners again and a quiet happy hour smelling these ribs cooking right beside us.
this is the life
so quiet here and amazing weather
ribs on the Q doing their thing
Eventually we got to enjoy the sun as it was setting and the ribs almost done.
Our ribs on the grill mat to glaze with  a tasty BBQ sauce I slathered on them.
yup they done
added to our salad with sauerkraut
really did the trick but too much
more leftovers!
As this was about done so was our sunset winding down another prefect desert day.
just what we enjoy
these sunsets
Thanks for taking the time to visit us today and hope you had a great day as well.

  4. Blythe is an interesting destination with its geode beds, the intaglios and most of the facilities and infrastructure needed by a full-time RVer. Soup loos great! Keep an eye on the weather and a hand on the umbrella, the next wave is on the way ...
