An early laundry done and a wonderful sunny day, puttering around.

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
After another great sleep up at 4:30 brewing my coffee in our stove top perk. Trying out a new heat diffuser on the gas grill. Most gas stoves that we have had don't go low enough to simmer. When our coffee perks it does so very fast, now with this item under the pot I can turn it down to a nice slow perk, and will do the same for simmering soups etc. I picked it up the other day at the Kitchen store front row of Tyson Wells 3 bucks and works wonderful.
Waiting until 6 am we had the laundry sorted so I could head into the Laundromat in Quartzsite for 6:30 am. Not to busy maybe 20 people there. Got our laundry all washed dried and folded, back home by 8:10 am .Nice to get this out of the way quickly in the early part of the day.
a huge laundry open at 6 am
they have a restaurant here as well
as the sun was rising here in the parking lot
can;t miss this
lots of washing machines
32 dryers laundry done in no time
2 loads washed and dried only 6 bucks
across the road the Roadrunner Market opens at 7 am
more of a nice sunrise
Headed back home and past the garbage bins, notched they have all been emptied , so we can once again dump our garbage here.
Below is the heat diffuser that works great for simmering.
Then puttered around for a while and started a new page turner. Really love these John Sanford novels and now have most of this series sent to me from an rv friend, 22 books in this series.
another nice page turner
This afternoon I read for a while and wash/wax our coach with a  waterless product from Meguiars that works wonderful especially here in the desert.
Also noticed a lot of these luxury Entegra motor homes pulling in again this year for their get together. Think these start about $400,000. and up too rich for our blood.
Enjoying the afternoon sun and we had a nice spot out of the wind. Then at 3:30 happy hour at our common area to flap our gums and share, tips, a few laughs and stories, tell lies etc you know the drill.
another nice social time
Then about 5 pm we all headed home to whip our dinners. And enjoy another wonderful desert sunset.
the sun is setting as our burgers almost done
And for our supper a spicy Chorizo burger for me and a Turkey burger for Suzie.
so tasty and all we need tonight,
sure hit the spot
Just another desert day getting chores done and enjoying this wonderful weather.
Thanks for stopping on by today.

  1. That's a huge laundromat I guess it gets plenty full with so many RV's there. Nice to be able to get it all done really early and free up the day

    1. It is huge and this time of year pretty crowded by 9 am, So I can go early already up anyway. No sense wasting the day light to do laundry.

  2. Looks like a great day George. I like the diffuser, that would come in handy for making soup or chili. I'll have to look at one of those too.

  3. I think we will be looking into on of those diffusers, also. I know when I am making a soup it is hard to get the temperature right.
As always an enjoyable Happy Hour.

  5. The stovetop at home has 5 burners each with settings from mega-boil to never-get-hot, the diffuser looks like an interesting concept. When traveling in the RV, it's instant coffee most of the time :(
The sun again provided the bookends to another great day. Pics of the eclipse? Looking forward to a few!

    1. No instant coffee here anymore we like the perked coffee much better. The diffuser does a nice job if yo have a use for it. Hope the skies are clear enough for the eclipse.

  6. Sun??? There's SUN now??? Entegras are pretty ... AND expensive. At our rally they had them for $588,000. Trouble is, they belong to Jayco, who has a pretty bad reputation for build and warranty work. Good luck to those guys!!

  7. The defusser looks interesting. Will have to pick one up. You never have enough gadgets. Probably never use it for coffee as I use a Keruig single cup knock off. 6oo watts off my batteries. Jayco is now part of Thor.

    1. It does come in handy for some things, not just coffee.
The Roadtrek class B's are apparently part of Thor as well.

  10. You guys never heard of filtered coffee? Just boil water and pour it over the coffee through the filter lined with paper, lol. Anyway, I see your point with the diffuser and its a great gadget. Wish the RV Park had those nice washers and dryers.
