Cruise Day 7, our last fun day at Sea

Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
Another great sleep with the ship rocking us gently to sleep. Up just after 5 am can see the window curtain gently moving back and forth to the slight roll of the ship , the stabilizers make it pretty smooth. Got some coffees and enjoyed the quiet of our balcony for a while. Then out to get a few laps around a couple of decks. Got just over 2 miles done by 8 am. And some nice sunrise pictures.
here we are in  the Middle of the Gulf of Mexico this morning
Early morning coffees on our Balcony is wonderful
we can hear the waves 9 decks below
Then at 8:30 time for more coffee and Bagels/cream cheese for breakfast by the pool. Temperature right now a wonderful 75F humid as usual and in the shade with a slight breeze keep us  comfortable. Few more walkabouts then for 10 am down to deck 4 at the front of the ship to check out the morning show with Matt. A question and answer period, information seminar on disembarking the ship, just because we can and in this process a lot of laughs.
a cloudy sunrise

One of many walks about the ship
Bagels and cream cheese early breakfast
Suzie chatting with SIL Sandy
real cactus on board
you can sit by the pool with your feet in the water, nice
this is the deck we usually sit on outside
day Care over 1,100 children on board

these maps at every elevator
easy to get lost
Then to the morning show on deck 4 always fun and informative with Matt.
Matt on the left
he answered questions and told some great stories
lots of great information here
Then we get to meet most of the crew here on stage and thank them.
the Captain thanking everyone
then a big thank you to them all
a great bunch of people
Then some more walkabouts enjoying the ocean breezes and fresh salty ocean air.
the rear pool and hot tubs
by the beach front pool selling t shirts 10 bucks
Shortly after this we made our way back to the Lido Deck. And choose lunch at the Deli I enjoyed a tasty rueben w/fries and Suzie a Turkey wrap. then a few more laps around the deck and back to our cabin for some peace and quite and a nice long hot shower.
turkey wrap for Suzie
Tasty Rueben for me
amazing chocolate everything,
monster cakes not for us today.
chocolate and vanilla fountains
Matt has everyone Line dancing by the pool
No plans for the rest of the day and that is just fine with us. Relaxing on our balcony watching and listening to the waves. Reading in peace a quiet for a while.
love the views form our balcony
enjoying our balcony
About 3:30 back to the pool side deck for Happy Hour.
Look to the west of us and looks like we passed an oil rig
we can buy these tubes of beer 100 ounces
thats a lot of beer !
About 4 pm on another walkabout caught a glimpse of the sun last time we saw it today.
This guy below Whendel from the Philipines chatted with me the very first day and every time I walked by, many times a day and wanted to know more about Canada, our lifestyle and about snow, he has knew seen snow.
Such a friendly guy always working, cleaning. chatting and
smiling, remembered my name from day one
We read some more and chatted with a few more people we have met during this cruise more friendly faces, and will keep in touch with some of them. Then shortly after 6 pm time for supper so the buffet it was. Nice tasty salad fried pork chop, some tasty rice, Mozzarella stick and very tasty baked potato and cheese soup.
nice and light
one of the eating areas on the lido deck
the first and last dessert on this cruise
back to our cabin and a final thankyou note and a heart
from our Cabin steward
The Dive in Movie on deck tonight was Winnie the Pooh and fresh popcorn being made if you wanted.
selling the fresh popcorn was wonderful
Winnie the Pooh but we did not stay
It was about 8 pm and we wanted to get our suitcases packed so we don't need to do them in the morning. We have to vacate our cabin by 8:30am hangout somewhere and wait for our deck number to be called before we can debark the ship. We will take our bags with us  no need to check them.
this is the health app on my I-phone
got just over 5 miles walked today
This was the last day of our awesome cruise, we had an excellent time, enjoyed our shore excursions, met lots of wonderful people, and enjoyed the friendly staff on board, Not to mentions all the wonderful tasty meals and of course ate too much. So many different places to eat included in our cruise plus and the pay restaurants, from the Steak house, Sushi, Chinese , Seafood and more.
In the morning we will get our car at the port and head back to our coach in Willis Texas 2 hours north of Galveston right straight through Houston.
The week of our Anniversary cruise is coming to an end, but the honeymoon is far from over. Back to our home on wheels and on the road again!
Thanks for joining us this past week and glad  we have been able to share it with you.

  2. It sure was a fun cruise and you both seemed to enjoy it very much. On one of the pictures sitting on your balcony the one with I, believe to be Suzie's knee and to the right of white stripe seems to be a very large fish or just a shadow from clouds. Very interesting

    1. Very seldom saw or heard any kids, lots of areas that allowed only adults over 21, bars' casinos, night clubs, even the serenity deck so peaceful. There is lots of other great cruise lines, adult only as well, Carnival has always been the FUN ship for us. One bar has its own pool and hot tub we checked out again adults only,

    1. Every cruise line is different all the costs can be found on line, all purchases on board include 15% gratuities, Alcohol not cheap depending on the company, shore excursions expensive, if you buy through the cruise, but if you tour is delayed the ship waits for you. If you go on your own cheaper, but if you are delayed the ship does not wait for you. And we have seen a few people miss the ship, that can be very expensive. You can tip more if you like, we did give our cabin steward 20 bucks. All charges are billed to your room.
Suzie won't tell me how much, we just pay the bill.
For us it is worth the cost a lot cheaper than flying to a port.

  14. Enjoyed your anniversary cruise along with you, you certainly stayed busy. The picture of the tall beer reminds me of a place here in Old Town where you can buy a yard of beer - that's a 36" tall glass of beer. Not the easiest glass to drink out of.

    1. Thank for joining us Jeff, we could have been much busier if we wanted to be. This tube is way too much for the 2 of us but a pretty good deal compared to the beer prices here Those Yards of beer sure are not easy to drink form I have tried, lol.

  17. thoroughly enjoyed reading about your cruise, and congratulations on your 25th anniversary. You and Suzie chose a Carnival ship with a fun crowd with lots of energy; I like those crowds because they make me feel younger and give us a burst of energy. Some cruise ships this time of year are like floating nursing homes! Ha! You put a burr in our saddle, so in January we will be plying the waters to Roatan and essentially your ports of call. Never been to Roatan. Thank you so much for taking us along. Where else can you be waited on hand and foot for such a great price. Must admit, I have missed your cooking on the Weber-Q.

    1. Glad you could join us, Carnival is a fun ship for sure they like to make sure everyone has fun. and we do. I Agree with some cruises way to low keyed for us. These guys give us a burst on energy for sure. We really love Roatan probably the nicest play on this cruise. I have missed cooking as well. Back home now but no Wener Q for a few more days yet.
