Last day here, cooler and a bit windy, but had some very welcome friends stop by for a visit.

Where are we today?
clic on a pic enlarge it
Now to begin our last day here. With another desert sunrise. Are you tired off them yet? We sure are not. Love getting up early every day to see what the desert has for us.
A wander about town,  nice and early and home to enjoy this weather, Even though  overcast and a bit of wind still got to 75f today. We can handle that.
After a light lunch I drove down the road for the last time to see if they had any fresh picked oranges at the roadside stand. Nope none here, apparently a bad crop this year, and they need to fill contracts before they can put more out for sale (According to a very informed source we know)
Orange and grapefruit orchards  her are wonderful
Heading home by the palm trees and past the state park boundary  then time to relax for a bit outside enjoying our reading.
a cloudy day some wind but still quite warm
Early afternoon we had a surprise visit from some very welcomed visitors. Al, Kelly and Pheebie from the Bayfield Bunch. So nice to see them again and actually spend more time chatting just the 5 of us. It's been a while since we hooked up.
Pheebes likes Suzie and came right in our house
she knows a treat will happen
 .
Kelly brought a couple of books that we will enjoy
and pass on, Thanks Kelly  !
now this is relaxing
she is excited but will wait for the treat
wait, and she did, until Al said it was ok.
then snap treat gone
What a very nice visit on our last day here, But soon time for them head in home. Said our so longs and will see them on down the road again I am sure.
and away they go
glad you dropped by
After they left I did a quick drive to  Rock House road and saw a couple of fellow bloggers parked there. Did not stop by wanted to see if they were around. Yup they were.
Then time to whip up supper. Tonight some pan fried red snapper fillets that we picked up in Mexico. Add to our salad and had a very tasty, healthy meal again.

beautiful clear blue skies
you sure hit the spot
What can I say just another great desert day, We getting ready to hit the road in the morning heading back east. From here on in we are making our slow(very slow) journey back to Ontario, we only have 2 months to get there, but in no hurry.
    Thanks for stopping on by.

Where have we been this Winter

  9. Again, sorry we missed you. I know from reading your blog and the Bayfield Bunch's we will be making one trip over to Julian for a piece of pie while we are here.
Enjoy your slow trip back to Ontario. We will not seriously point east and Upper Michigan until April.
    Travel Safe.
P.S. You were absolutely right the generator runs the convection oven/microwave. Though I still think next time I get a spaghetti squash I am still going to have Tom grill it just to see the taste.
