Overcast and a rainy day but we have things planned for rainy days.

        Well looks like the weather gods have it right again, Very windy yesterday as predicted, rain all night and overcast and rain pretty well all day today. Not a problem here we have alternate  things to do.
        An early walkabout the huge puddles with a light drizzle , then into town about 7:30 pick up a few supplies. No traffic and now crowds is so nice.

          Back home by 9 and carried on with a rainy day pot of Turkey noodle soup. The bones have been simmering since 7 am. So we now have an amazing soup stock. Just continued making the soup, veggies, spices  and egg noodles so then we can enjoy some for lunch, Perfect for a damp rainy day, few more lunches as well.

           Still raining and tried to get into a movie on tv, but could not do it. So plan B, Lets wash the sheets for our bed. Up to the laundry let the machines do their job and I can enjoy my e-reader in the car while waiting. No problem there. Done just after 3 and still raining so no happy hour today out side and no Weber Q.
           Alternative cooking inside and already had a plan. Cleaned some huge shrimp we bought in Mexico. And one of Suzie's favourite meals, Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Found this package below in our cupboard so let's use it up. Easy quick meal, just saute the shrimp,  and a one pan meal.

        And along with that made some corn muffins that we occasional use as well.

        Then steamed the rest of our asparagus, then we had a great feast and guess what, more leftovers again. Makes for easy lunches.

         Finally when it got dark the rain stopped but only 55f . No problem, now we can  kick back read a bit more, post the blog and maybe watch the tube for a bit and call it a night. The next few days looks some more amazing weather here for us to enjoy.
        Oh, got and email from daughter number 2, our grandson has a hockey tournament this weekend in Rochester New York and we can watch it live! Gave it a shot but our Verizon is just not fast enough here for the live videos, oh pooh! Last I heard their first game was tied. Waiting for more results. I just know they will do well.
