Again very warm night, so windows open comforter put away and this wonderful warm desert night, great for sleeping. Actually almost too warm, but heck sure bets the alternative,Every morning here in the desert brings more amazing sunrises, each one a little different than the last and we never get tired of them.
When Suzie was ready we headed into town to Christmas Circle to browze the small farmer;s market for the last time this visit.
A nice small market and a few things we checked out. Bought some very tasty extra hot Jerky for me and small loaf of bread. Nice to support these vendors.love the green grass right here in the desert |
and she got her doggie fix too |
some excellent jerky |
want tamales? they have them here |
you could get a good workout with this machine |
Then a very relaxing afternoon enjoying our e-readers. Got to 89 f this afternoon but will be cooling down for a few days into the 70's but that is ok too. At least it is not cold and snow.
Soon time to fire up our Weber Q to grill a 1/2 turkey we had in our freezer. That was thawed. Just relaxing , enjoying our happy hour and books, smelling this turkey cooking sure worked up an appetite.
Then whipped up a salad and thawed some cranberry orange sauce we had and sure hit the spot. Once again lotsa leftover turkey that we will make good use with, lunches, soup and maybe even another supper.
tasty and sure hit the spot |
Where have we been this Winter
We had a great time at that market several years ago. Of course we contributed to the local economy.
ReplyDeleteI love those sculptures. I had Paul driving all over the place taking photos. They get neater with age.
I think we found all the sculptures foots year we were here. Don't we all get neater with age.
