Cloudy day and a light wind, but hey it's not cold. And fixed our time zone change.

Where are we today
clic a pic to enlarge it
Today is supposed to be over cast but warm. We were gonna take a tour but not so much on a cloudy day. We have the time here can wait. But I did take a cruise about town in the early morning checking out the town. The Palm Canyon Resort has some very cool buildings there. Just had to take some pics. Looks like an old western town for the motel rooms. They also have a very nice RV resort here , a saloon. pool and spa if thats what you enjoy.
It was warm but overcast and a west wind, today, temps got to 75F but wind no sun and the breeze felt much cooler. No  problem we can enjoy outside and our coach can block the wind.
So many cool buildings here and each one has character. Just a few pics below for you to check out.
This morning and another wonderful desert sunrise to start our day.
Because of the overcast day I made a huge pot of chicken noodle soup, Chicken  bones in the freezer. Love soup for lunches , now we have more lunches for a few days.
sure hit the spot today
A walkabout this afternoon I noticed this rock on the ground with a white ring around it ? hmm ? It is  geological survey marker from 1960 shows the elevation here at 676 ft above sea level.
placed here in 1960
Then we enjoyed some more reading time out side for a couple hours, out of the cool breeze, was wonderful . Now While I was reading something bussed right by my ear and almost attacked Suzie's  I pad cover. It is red  and we did get a glimpse of it was a humming bird! Sorry no picture they are so fast !
the hummers like her red cover
Then Happy Hour for 2 , no problem we continue reading. Enjoying the peaceful desert. Skies are playing games with us.  To the west looks like a storm and to the east sunny in the mountains.

Supper tonight a couple fish burgers, on an english muffin, with cheese, tomato, lettuce and mayo. Done on our grill mat.
added our fresh made salad sure hit the spot
A very decent desert day, looking for more sunshine in a day or so, just hanging out enjoying the desert quiet.
Think we fixed my waking up too early. We did like Al and Kelly leave our clocks on Arizona time, seems to work much better for our sleeping habits. Thanks for the tip guys.
Below is a pic from some of the group at Bloggerfest this year, Some people had already left so not every one was still here. It was a pretty good turn out, thanks to our hosts, Lorne and Sue Green.

Thanks for stopping by, and look forward to your comments.

  5. I hope the Borrego Palm Canyon Resort has cleaned itself up, but we were very disappointed under the previous owners. If you need hookups Borrego Holiday Home is where we go now. Nice day for soup on this side too.

  6. We took a brief walk around that Palm Canyon Resort a few days ago while doing laundry there and thought it looked very clean and well maintained. Definitely a western town theme. I hope to get back there and take a few photos as well. Gotta love Arizona time for sure.

  10. Nice looking little town in the Old West Theme.
Everyone seem to Feed the Humming Birds using Red Feeders and as soon as they saw Suzie's Red Cover they probably thought it was FOOD.
We had High Winds while setting up yesterday. Expecting more today.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  12. Thanks for reminding me that I need to do laundry. Those are very nice pictures of the Palm Canyon Resort. It is a beautiful place. I wonder where I was in 1960 as a teenager.

    1. It is a nice looking resort and the laundry looks quaint as well. January 1960 I would have been shovelling snow in Ontario Canada.
