A cloudy windy day, but we still enjoyed it.

Where are we today
clic a pic to enlarge it

Today started out wonderful then kinda went down hill from there. Got a few walkabouts  checked the sunrise that looks iffy . Nice and mild and not too windy yet
interesting sunrise
nice catus down by the pool
Shortly after 9 am we did a trip into Yuma to check out the Goodwill store and took Rob and Pat along. Their truck is in for repairs. Stopped by the Ford dealer to check on the status of their truck, picked up a few deals at Albertsons and home about 11 am.
In time for us to whip up a tasty light lunch, Then puttered around watching the wind that was sw and not so bad on our site as our patio was facing north.
So we could very comfortably read outside , out of the wind (blocked by our coach) and other r 's in the park. Even though it was 79 f felt cool because of the winds 32 mph. (gusts to 58 mph). We did experience some dust but , closed our south windows and all was good most of the day.
This a big holiday here President's Day weekend and the traffic on I-8 heading east was backed up for miles, construction and the volume really did it here.
backed up for many miles that we could see from here
looking around . the desert dust was
doing it's thing
But we were pretty good here. We enjoyed our Happy hour, (friends were out and about) then fired up our Weber Q, Grill a t-bone steak (on sale at Abertsons). We don;t do much beef but it was a deal we could not turn down. Fresh asparagus only $1.47 a lb too, great deal.
this steak was huge only 6 bucks
that we shared and could not eat it all
fresh mushrooms in the foil
What a feast we had and as usual
leftovers for lunches.
Not too bad of a day, not cold and no snow, some clouds, but we can handle that. Supposed to have lotsa rain tomorrow, flash flood warnings around (but we good here) again no problem we can deal with that too, at least we don;t have to shovel it!
Thanks again for stopping by to check us out !

Where have we been this Winter

  4. The asparagus looks delicious. We had some wind here but it sounds like you may have gotten hit a little harder.
Tom agrees it is great not having to shovel the snow and the rest we will deal with.

    1. The asparagus was very good, were were protected a bit by the wind in the campground, but still pretty windy, we could sit outside though. Walking was harder.

  6. Our park is packed too. They are even in the overflow.
The sky looks terrible. I think we are going to get the rain that Yuma had.

  7. Nasty wind for sure but we were safe even though we were facing south into the wind. the Suite danced a fair bit every once in a while until it calmed down around 9 when the light rain started.

    1. Glad it was not too bad there for you, other than the wind, you are pretty open up there, not so bad here, then rain later on as well.
