Where are we today ?
Great sleep last night and up early as usual. Computing, coffees etc, walkabout down the road, Chat with our host Bill for a while at 7 am, (Barb had already gone to work) Then just puttering around waiting until about 9 am to hit the road. Want to miss the morning rush hour going through Buffalo, and we did,
Perfect travel day, sunshine, no wind and no rain, what more can we ask for ?

Left New York State, passed through Pennsylvania into Ohio. No Traffic and made good time.
We stopped at every rest area to get out and stretch then at the Ohio Welcome Centre for noon to whip up a bite to eat for lunch,Lots of wonderful fall colors along the way, love the scenery |
Fuelled up here at the Flying J $2.00.9 a gallon. Much cheaper than Ontario, Still only .64 cents a litre including the 35% exchange rate, what a deal! Compared to .95 cents a litre back home. Put in 50 gallons only a hundred US dollars ($131.60 Canadian).Would have cost us $189.00 at home! Yep we can afford to head south for the winter and enjoy every minute of it!
2.00.9 galloon ($2.64 Canadian) |
All fuelled up and ready for tomorrow. Nice parking spot and nobody near us either. This works for us. The pumps, store and restaurant is open 24 hours and Suzie likes the security aspect of it as well.
nice spot here |
Quick and easy, but would be better on our Weber Q |
Sure was tasty though |
Glad you dropped by today checkin us out. Sure feels great to be on the road again. Let's see where we will end up tomorrow night.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Fall and Winter..
No matter what you cook or how you cook it, your pictures always make me hungry. Looks great. Glad you are having nice weather.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue, always looks better when somebody else cooks it.
DeleteLoving the great weather.
That fellow camper must be totally crazy. His engine (and tranny) is never equipped to haul that trailer. Even our Diesel MH was not allowed more than 10K pounds of trailer. Nutcase!
ReplyDeleteThats fot sure way too much.
DeleteOh my! I wonder what all that fella has loaded in that trailer. It's way, way too much.
ReplyDeleteYour site for the evening looks like many we've stayed in. Sometimes those are just perfect for a night on the road. You're sure moving along fast.
This works for us nice and handy very relaxing and a French Vanilla coffee for Suzie in the morning.
DeleteAgree with other comments - that's way too much trailer for that coach. Even if it was empty it would be questionable.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it was empty either, looked pretty heavy on the back of the coach.
DeleteThat is an accident looking for a place to happen. You are making great time. The southwest is looking forward to your arrival.
ReplyDeleteWe are so looking forward to the southwest of course sights along the way are nice too.
DeleteOne of these years we will be in Ohio when you pass through. We might be able to finally meet. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking that, but you always seem to leave when we get near lol....
DeleteThe tree colours are gorgeous. The touring must be fabulous this time of year
ReplyDeleteIt is the colors everywhere with the picture perfect weather.
DeleteSo glad the weather is great for your travel days! And just look at the fall colors...what a treat to be driving this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI was a perfect travel day, today looks like rain though.
DeleteThat trailer looks a bit much for the coach - Hope they're only traveling on flat land. Aren't these fuel prices just great - we're under $2 here for regular gasoline.
ReplyDeleteYep way to much trailer thats for sure.
DeleteLoving the fuel prices too.
I think that guy needs "Oversized Load" signs and escort cars. What is he thinking? I'd love to see how he turns corners with that setup.
ReplyDeleteThat's for sure.
DeleteHe came into the Flying J and turned it around, just a large turn he did.
I can't believe that the police let that RVer tow such a large load. Thanks for the reminder about the Good Sam fuel discount as I had totally forgotten that. Have you noticed if diesel is higher or lower that gas? Looks like that sausage survived the border crossing. Here where we cross they always some in and go thru the fridge, freezer and pantry.
ReplyDeleteThe sausage repackaged and looks like pork sausage, same as the burgers.
DeleteWhen they inspect we have to leave the coach so can't ask us?
Diesel is quite a bit more than gas here.
Plus using the good Sam card we got free coffee too.
I agree with Sue Malone - your meals always look so healthy and exceptionally tasty. I like the way you cooked the whole meal in one frying pan. Safe travels. :)
ReplyDeleteLove making less dishes for the dishwasher, makes Suzie happy.
