Where are we today ?
Much milder overnight, no frost this morning. Looks like it might be a nice day. But no sunshine at all and a few drizzly periods but we can handle that, no problem not too cold. We have a nice cozy house and great view.
After my walkabouts this morning heading into Waterloo about 8:30 see my Chiropractor for a minor adjustment, must have done something wrong the last few days, was feeling kind of off. He fixed me right up now, brand new again ! Gotta love it.
While shopping on the way hope ran into Trudy, have not seen for a long time. They just bought a trailer and are loving this camping experience. Gave her a few tips and I just know they will love it.

Home for lunch then Suzie and I headed to New Hamburg to do our duty and vote at the early poles for the upcoming election here in Canada. Couple reasons we vote, it does establish our residency here in Ontario and we have a right to vote. Either way we did vote, not political people and do not like to discuss politics or religion. So no need to go there. While waiting in line right behind us Paula showed up . Again have not seen her for many years. She did live right behind one on my houses in town 30 years ago, did babysit daughter number 2 way back then and even worked in my restaurant for a period of time. so nice to see her again. And even know her patrents quite well too.
Now we are finally seeing some nice fall colors in the area. Soon be time for us to hit the road south.
On the way back from the polling station saw this large turtle in the middle of the road. I stopped hoping to help him to the other side. Not a chance, he was huge, very large claws and began hissing at me with an open mouth. Oh buddy hope nobody runs you over, would be a huge bump in the road!
Back home and just puttered around I prepped for veggies for the salads thing weekend did some computing and a bit of reading. Then before we know it time to whip up supper. Tonight a grilled smoked pork chop,1/4 acorn squash each (with brown sugar and olive oil) and our usual salad.Suzie got the centre of the chop that she likes, I got my favorite parts too |
Thanks for stopping in.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.
You two are so much like us. We vote but don't talk about it. We have learned that the easiest way to get into an argument is to talk politics or religion. We stay away from both.
ReplyDeleteThose fall colors are stunning. I love seeing the purple and pink together.
No arguments for us, e have too much more to talk about.
DeleteThe colors are coming really nice right now.
Like you we keep our politics and religion to ourselves.
ReplyDeleteThe fall colours are really looking beautiful.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
The colors are wonderful even nicer when the sun is shining.
DeleteIt is the time for those fall colors. It lets us all know it's fall.
ReplyDeleteI gave up reading a couple RVer blogs who continually blogged about politics. That's about the last thing I want to read about.
The fall colors are giving us a good send off, before we head south.
DeleteThe trees are beginning to show there stuff - always a pretty time here in East TN. That chop looks very good.
ReplyDeleteThe colors are very nice, just not crazy about the cooler weather.
DeleteLove smoked pork chops.
That turtle sure didn't want to be bothered. Likely figured you wanted him for soup.
ReplyDeleteCould very well be, he was vicious.
DeleteOh my! You could have made Turtle Vicious-soise. :-)
ReplyDeleteAlways a possibility.
DeleteI'm with you on the politics/religion issues in a blog. Too many ways to lose friends and gain enemies. I like to keep all the friends I've got. ;c)
ReplyDeleteThats right I'm with you.
