Where are we today ?

       We are having some amazing fall weather right now. Windows open last night no heat and still very nice out this morning. Sunshine here it is just wonderful.

       After some walkabouts and computing this morning I headed out to pick up some groceries etc. Check out a few grocery stores and got most of our stuff at Walmart. The Dollar General to top up our Verizon Mifi card then back to Top's grocery store for a 5.5 lb chicken for supper (the smallest they had)  what a great deal only .99cents a lb ($1.29 Canadian funds) but still a good deal.

Now they just Vacuum the leaves up, so easy   

         Also at Tops they had 36 cans of Coors Light in a cooler bag only $23.00 ($30.00 Canadian) To compare only 30 cans of Coors light in Ontario without the cooler bag is $50.95 !

       Back home for lunch then took the laundry to the campground laundry mat. They have 2 here and one was empty nobody there. So quickly got our 2 loads done while reading in the shade at a picnic table, yes it was that warm.
      Now to relax with Suzie getting more quality reading time done on our e-readers. As the afternoon cooled down we sat in the sun until time to fire up our Weber Q 100

what a great day

         Being a larger chicken it took about 90 minutes to be cooked to perfection. If you want the directions just check my recipe blog top right sidebar.

        Just added a bit of salad and we had a feast.

          Now with this huge bird I put the carcass on to boil and make a nice chicken broth. 

While this was going on our friend Bill dropped in for a visit after "work", he is still "working" but brought their trailer here on Tuesday. So nice to see him again and get caught up. Lotta chin waging going on then a knock on the door , not once but twice. 3 more people dropped in for a visit. Have not seen since this weekend last year. More chatting and catching up. But alas they all had to leave , gotta do that "work" thing tomorrow. Think we have a slight memory about that too, seems so long ago. Do we miss it? Not....

           Soup bones boiled, will let them cool in the fridge over night and have some tasty chicken noodle soup for our lunches.

          Thanks for checking us out and for all the welcome back comments on Wednesday's posting, so nice to be on the road heading south again. Just have a fun weekend with some friends and away we go.

          If the postings the next few days are late or missing that means we having too much fun and late nights, but I will probably whip up a post the next morning.
