Where are we today ?
Mild morning but kinda rainy a bit. So once the sun rose I grabbed my umbrella and did a soggy walkabout town. Back home waiting for the rain to let up we secured the coach and on the road shortly after 9 am like we usually do. Heading on down the road to Niagara's Lazy Lakes resort just across the border near Youngstown New York. 2 hours later we lined up for the border crossing and went really smooth. While waiting in line we made lunch cause we can. About a 15 minute lineup, answered only the questions asked truthfully and away we went only a few minutes that took. Only comment was to make sure we do not stay too long in the States. No problem we are allowed 182 days and our schedule has us 172, just in case.

not much of a lineup today |
First stop is Smoking Joe's to fuel up the coach and the car only $2.20 a gallon coverts to 76 cents a litres Canadian funds. Best price we saw today was 94 cents a litre, We put in about 200 litres total so saved about $44.00 on this fillup. I know fuel will be cheaper as we travel so we saving money already, gotta love it! Plus this is a membership park so no overnight fees, only water and electric but a dump station, free wifi too, thats good too.
Arrived at Lazy lakes shortly after noon, snagged a nice pull through site right across our friends Bill and Barb who will join us on the weekend.

nice site and no rain yet |
A walkabout the park for a bit and enjoyed reading outside for a while. Chatted with neighbors beside us for quite a while, new members from Ontario Canada right across the border.
Then soon time for supper. Lets get back to some healthier eating for a while. Grilled Tilapia on the Weber Q a bit of potato salad and coleslaw left over from Sunday.

Sure is nice to be on the road again. Spend a few days here then work out way to the southwest. Not sure of our route depends on the weather but we are so looking forward to this trip like we do every year. Drive a while, stop a while maybe see a few sights and just enjoy the open road, oh yeah !
Thanks for taking a peak and hope y'all had a great day too.
Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Fall and Winter..
It's such a great feeling to get back out on the road isn't it?! Glad that your border crossing went well.

Even though we are fulltime and always on the move it is so nice to cross the border with an easy crossing, and wander around the country, some new places and some we have been to before, its all good.
DeleteWelcome back!
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill glad to be here.
DeleteI'm glad you had an easy border crossing. Welcome back to the United States! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryl.
DeleteMost of our crossing s are quite easy, makes it pretty painless.
Alright! On The Road Again. Sounds like a good title for a country song, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteYep sure is, Willie Nelson's cd is right in dash of our coach, singing us on down the road.
DeleteWelcome to the U.S. of A. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteThanks you we looking forward to it.
DeleteHow come, you are only allowed to stay 182 days???? What do you have to do if you wanted to stay longer?? Everyone seems to dreed going through the border crossing - is it like customs, when you travel overseas? No foreign stuff etc???..glad you have had a good start - stay safe
ReplyDeleteWe are only allowed 182 days in any 12 month period, more than that then we have to become American citizens, get a job, pay taxes etc, and probably loose our Canadian health care and pensions.
DeleteThe border crossing is customs. We are only allowed so many foreign items, check our passports mostly pretty easy if you know and follow the rules.
Welcome back. Yippee!!! We love Old Bay.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys, looking forward to the southwest.
DeleteCouple of weeks for us and then we will be joining you. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteYou going to Mexico again I hear, enjoy. Love Mexico.
DeleteBack on the road! Ready to read all about it. That tilapia looks good, I tried to get some today but found none, bummer. Made taco salad instead. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to be "On The Road" , glad to have you along. Almost any fish we enjoy, the Taco Salad would be wonderful too.
DeleteWelcome back to the USA. We have also been loving the fuel prices.
ReplyDeleteThanks Larry, sure feels good.
DeleteI bet it feels wonderful to be going again. It certainly does to us when we've not been able to for a while.
ReplyDeleteLove your corelle dishes! Those are the only kind to have when traveling .... well, other than the paper plates too.
It sure does feel good.
DeleteWe have had that corelle forever, paper plates when boondocking usually= conserve water.
That is what life is all about, travel a bit, see new sites and move on with no plans. We have plans but we are always open to new adventures.
ReplyDeletePlans written in jello, works for us.
DeleteI know you love the beach there, enjoy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for travelling along.
Welcome back to the USA...
ReplyDeleteThanks glad to be here again!
DeleteGlad to have you two back on our side for a few months. I love Talapia. And our Q1000 is in the back of the car waiting to go.We stayed at Lazy Lakes on our Wedding Trip and loved it. The park was full, but they placed us and our 19' fully self contained van between two big rigs and that worked fine for us.
ReplyDeleteThanks Betty. enjoy you Weber Q.
DeleteLazy Lakes is always a busy park we always enjoy it here.
Welcome "Home" for the next 182 days! Just make sure none of that cold white stuff follows you here! :cD
ReplyDeleteThanks, thats the plan don't want to see and of that white stuff.
DeleteGlad to hear that the crossing went well. Now you two just relax and don't worry about anything back in Ontario.
ReplyDeleteI don't worry , hope Suzie can take it easy too.
DeleteWell I was going to say--welcome to the US but I guess a lot more people beat me to it. Hope to meet you this winter.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jan, we will try to make a point of meeting up with you guys.
