Monday, warmer and getting suff done outside.

Where are we today ?
My early morning walkabout town was wonderful, stop by the garage for a bit then back home shortly after 8 am.  Gonna take Suzie to visit her mom in New Hamburg drop her off and stop by some friends of ours Barry and Sharon. They just got a new to them Class "A" motorhome and wanted to pick my brain for a few tips. This is their first RV so they are really "Newbies". Not a bad looking coach for a 1992 (I think) appears to be in pretty good shape.
Then back to New Hamburg pick up a few supplies and Suzie too (she the most important supply) Back here for lunch. Chat for a bit and catch up then I began mow the grass here. Still issues with the mower runs about 20 minutes then the cutting deck quits. But still running so back on the battery charger for and hour and can do another 20 minutes. In between I putter around and read for a while. Did this 3 times this afternoon then time to whip up supper.
The ground hogs (gophers) all around the back of the lot. Need to watch that the mower does not fall in their huge holes. Got stuck once!
spotted this ground hog peaking out of his hole,
posing for me.
For supper tonight a couple Cod fish fillet fried in Fish Crisp that Suzie enjoys.Gonna try on our Weber Q. So salad made and preheat our grill for about 15 minutes on high with a small cask iron fry pan and a couple tbs of oil. Fish ready to go, about 5-7 minutes per side and just like frying inside but bonus! No mess on our stovetop! Works wonderful .
fish coated in Fish Crisp an excellent Canadian product
work amazing!
Fish done set on a paper towel then ready to serve.
now that was a tasty meal
Supper done and only 6:30 so I wandered to the back of the lot fired up the mower again. 4th time today and mowed another 20 minutes of lawn. Normally takes about 3 hours to do the 5 acres here so I am now over half done.
Have mowed from the road the other side of our coach (the tiny
white dot in the middle) all the way to here.

hope to get this done tommow
That was our fun day, warmer weather ( a bit) and no rain is a bonus.
And for those who asked Suzie's ankle is feeling much better, today. Rest, relax, ice packs and her brace she is almost very mobile. Lucky girl!
Glad that you took the time to stop by again, all is pretty awesome here as usual.

  1. Ohhh, that brings back memories of when I bought my diesel pusher and had to drive it home, pulling my Jeep, from south of Houston, TX to my home 40 miles north of Houston in the evening in rush hour and I had never driven anything that big in my life and to make matters worse, The driver's seat is forward of the steerable front wheels, which means I ran over a lot of curbs before I figured out how far I had to go past them before starting to turn. I made it.

  4. Never thought about putting one of my iron pans on the Weber. Great idea on hot days.

    1. I just acquired the cast iron fry pan and works great. Plus no mess in the kitchen too.

  5. Sounds like that mower needs a new alternator to keep charging the battery. But I'm sure you've already figured that out, but taking an hour break after 20 minutes of mowing is a nice way to get the job done. :c)

    1. We have been testing and are getting AC voltage, replaced the "activator" to change to Dc voltage and supposed to charge the battery. hmm still not working more research is being done.
The problem with the breaks is it takes 2 days to do 3 hours of work .
