Friday and playing with our neighbors satellite dish, trying to resolve issues.

Where are we today ?
Rock Glen Family resort Arkona Ontario Canada
Perfect weather again today, got my early morning walkabout and my back feels almost brand new. Its amazing what a good chiropractor can do.  More walkabouts chat with a few people and puttered around outside just doing stuff.
After a bite for lunch Richard stopped b to see if I could help him again with his satellite dish issues. Well I always like a challenge so wander over with my equipment and we began testing. Tv cutting in and out. The dish was repositioned and get a 89 % great signal but the tv still cuts in on out. So I replaced the cable, disconnected the  DVD and VCR Still not right. A couple cables had loose ends so he picked up 2 more. Still no good. Hooked up the neighbors satellite dish same issue. Then another neighbor Gord brought his Tv over and still the same issue. Ok now we have finally narrowed the problem down. Do believe it is his satellite receiver. Which is very old. So he will bring another from his house and order a new one from Shaw. We do believe that will fix his issues. Sure hope so after about 4 hours working on this thing. But we did get to narrow things down and had a challenging afternoon.
Back home Suzie was getting her doggie fix when Tucker and his mom stopped to chat.

Time for me to put together a salad while our Weber Q was pre heating and  and enjoy my e-reader while the chicken legs and thighs cooked to perfection, about an hour to 185f internal temperature.
I did get to relax for a bit too
The afternoon sun on our site was very hot so I set up a temporary sunscreen that did the trick.  Suzie happy now. You known Happy wife, Happy life, works for us.
our sunscreen does the trick
perfect chicken again,
crispy on the outside and moist and juicy inside
sure took care of our chicken craving
As I finish posting this outside at 8:15 its still nice and warm shorts and sandal weather, whats not to like about this lifestyle?
Thanks for stopping by again we like the company. Not sure what's on the agenda tomorrow, but no matter what it will happen and we will enjoy it.

Check out the interactive map below to see where we have been this Spring and Summer.

    1. I little char is perfect, usually just on the bottom, I used different spices this time and ruened the chicken over to crisp up the top.

  4. Did you try a reset on the receiver? The one where you hold the power button down until the lights go out? Just a guess, I have never seen this particular problem before.

    1. No I did not. This was a vey old receiver and has been unplugged for a while over the winter. He had the same problems last fall too.
I have never seen it either.

    2. Even the old ones have the reset button. Give it a try, it can't hurt. It also might start working after it warms up and runs for a while.

    3. I will check it out hen they return to their trailer. Maybe even take my receiver over and give it a try.

  5. I've never been to a chiropractor, but when I was in Mexico last winter I went several times to a very talented massage therapist. It way only $25.00 for an hour massage, and she worked magic on my left shoulder.

    1. If I can't get to a chiropractor and good massage therapist is the next best thing.
