Where are we today ?
What did we do today? Nothing much. Up early many walkabouts, no groceries, and chat with a few people here and there.
Lotta computing time for Suzie setting up her I-pad mini and downloading books. We had an issue with the USB cable not releasing from her laptop. Checked with a few people here and even Rick Doyle. But I did find a solution on line. It is a problem with the new Apple USB plugs, but is a relatively easy fix. If you need click HERE for the fix, worked for us.
These issues taken care of more walkabouts visit the gym and enjoy my KOBO Aura E book out side. Really getting to like the KOBO no glare in the direct sunshine and can read it at night with no lights on, has its own light and is so lightweight and easy to hold.
A couple people said they might drop by for a visit, but did not matter we here anyway, real easy to stop reading for a social time.
Suzie actually got to do some reading time and not on her computer |
did the trick |
Glad you could drop by for a visit.

Contacted Weber..grill still under warranty. They are sending a free regulator. Thanks George.
ReplyDeleteThats great should fix your problem. and be good as new , or even better.
DeleteThanks for answering my questions about the e-reader. I know nothing about the KOBO Aura, but sounds like the right one for our lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteI do have a sewing machine. If he wouldn't mind and has the instructions, I would love to have them. If it is confidential, I totally understand.
It was Dicks wife Raye that made them, no secret but they left this morning. Just like a quilt with two layers and some cotton between, sewed some darts to make it lift up.
DeleteSure you can find a pattern on line.
Well look. Thanks
DeleteSure wish you'd come and cook for me. That looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteSorry Suzie got me 24 years ago.
DeleteSo easy to do, just throwing things together.
Nice that your e reader has its own light, my Kindle Paperwhite has that feature too and I love it. Plus, it works great as a flashlight at night. ;c)
ReplyDeleteThe light makes it great for night time reading.
DeleteI like it after the weekend too. It's quiet and everyone is gone. Of course, the weekend returns in five days. That's just not long enough.
ReplyDeleteAfter the summer things slow down a bit and thats nice too.
DeleteOh yes...totally agree! The weekdays are the best! It's so funny because when we were working the week-ends were so special! My how life changes.....
ReplyDeleteThat is so right, or priorities do change and we really enjoy it this way.
DeleteI'm surprised you haven't found a way to cook the pasta on the grill.
ReplyDeleteI am sure I could work something out but just easier to cook on the stove in pots and pans.
DeleteYou now have me wanting a plate of spaghetti. I watched the stuck cable video, but can't remember that last time I had a shirt with stays :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't have them either but I cut a piece of clear firm plastic that they package stuff in nowadays.
DeleteGlad to hear you got your cable unstuck, George, without having to use dynamite!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad too, now just picked up a USB extension so we don't have that problem anymore.
