Where are we today ?
Ok, here we go again, great summer weather and all that stuff, just the way it's supposed to be. Windows open, light breeze, lotsa sunshine and temps close to 80f. Morning walkabouts chat with a few people here and there, life is good.
Shortly after 9 am Suzie was ready to go, so off we went to Peterborough. 1st stop Shopper's Drug Mart to get our passport photos done, quick easy and cheap.
Then to downtown Peterborough stop at Service Canada Office with our photos and pre filled applications we downloaded from the internet. 10 minute wait and 10 minutes to do the transaction. Now we get a 10 year passport for $160.00 or a 5 year one for $120.00. think we get the 10 year one.
Now back home for lunch and Suzie can enjoy her books in the shade. Me, I puttered around with our generator trying a few things here and there. Test this and test that, still no go starter not working. Back to the drawing board (Google) and more research.
In the meantime we had friends John and Barb stop by to pick up the Blue ox tow bar and Brake Buddy we picked up for them last week from Roy and Cathy in London Ontario. John and Barb only live about 15 minutes away from here. Last time we met up with them was in Yuma Arizona early February, so nice to see them again and catch up! They joined us for a nice Happy Hour got their stuff and even dropped off a few cans of beer for our trouble, really like these guys, what can we pick up for you again??? I work for beer.

After supper a walkabout, Read for a while and chat with a couple neighbors. Then before we know its 9pm and starting to get dark again. Time to head inside call it a night.
Thanks for joining us again, with the amazing warm weather, hope yours is as good as ours.

Kind of a no brainer to take the 10 years passport deal, isn't it. Value for dollar, it's a better deal.....!
ReplyDeleteThat's for sure a much better deal.
DeleteGlad you plan to spend 10 more years in the States. Hopefully, Bill and I will meet you in person some day.

Ten years and maybe more it is all relevant on our health, so far so good.
DeleteAlways love meeting fellow rv'ers and bloggers, someday...
I didn't know that there was an option of 5 or 10 years. We got the 10 last time.
ReplyDelete5 years ago I don't think they had the 10 year option, but just makes sense now.
ReplyDeleteI like your positive thinking on the 10 year plan. Guess we will be following you two for quite some time.
ReplyDeletePositive thinking is the only way to go, after this passport we will renew for another 10 years! Over and over again, until, whatever...but someday, way down the road, it will end just not ready yet.
DeleteIt certainly would be hard to enjoy the southern deserts without those passports.
ReplyDeleteThat's for darn sure, love the southwest.
