Where are we today ?
Now we are settled in here for maybe a couple weeks, until the hitch itch grabs us and we need to wander on down the road again. Great nights sleep windows open, the tornadoes that passed thru the area missed us, just a bit of rain and wind no big deal here.
Walkabouts the resort here this morning showing again some of the nice carvings they have had done with trees that were removed.
Then into Buckhorn just to check out a few things. This is cottage country and such a nice area. Right on the Trent Severn Water system where people travel through lift locks and from lake to lake, (right from Lake Ontario to Georgian bay a distance of 240 miles and 45 liftlocks) either in rented houseboats, small motor boats or huge yachts.

After puttering around some more we really got to enjoy a wonderful quiet afternoon getting some quality reading time in. It's been a few days for us.
Not much wildlife today just a lazy turtle making his way across the road not too far from us. Mind you we have seen small black bears in this area too. They seem to like hanging out around the garbage dumpster.
As the day progressed we began to get a hunger on so fired up our Weber Q to grill a huge bone in chicken breast, (low and slow about 40 minutes, lid closed and do not turn) and added that to very tasty salad I whipped up.
this sure did the trick tonight |
Now we had a perfect day, with perfect weather, great company (each other) and good books to enjoy, wrapped up with a very tasty BBQ'd chicken dinner. Sure do love this lifestyle, still the best jobs we have ever had!
Glad you could take the time today to stop in for a read.

We sure don't have a view like that from our grocery store parking lot. Sure does sound like a really great day.
