Where are we today ?
Yep we liking this weather. Up early as usual coffees, computing, walkabouts then secure our coach to take to Pettigrew's Garage in town for service at 8 am. First thing Dale is right on it, check out our rear brakes, lots of brake pads and the possibility of the one callipers slightly sticking but all looks good, we will keep an eye on things there but should be good.Brakes check out ok |
the smoke machine |
So there, service done, brakes checked out and generator working. Just waiting for the part so I can fix our electric step and we are good to go again, yippee!!
We had all the service done by noon and set up again at camp awesome. Still not raining again, (supposed to rain all day, but looks like yesterday's thunderstorms that were non-existent.) Thats really good cause now I can hop on FERRIS and begin mowing some lawn. My favourite fun thing that I do here (well other than cooking and reading). Well in 90 minutes I got about 1/3 of the 5 acres done time to stop now have things to do.

one of the best burgers I have ever had |
When we are down in southern California we see a saying on a lot of vehicles with signs saying "GOT SAND" because a favorite past time is playing in the sand dunes with their dune buggies etc.... Well this is Canada and no desert here but we do have a lot of hockey rinks. So the big thing is hockey and have seen this sign on quite a few vehicles.
After the Ball Hockey they stopped back at our place for a nice visit. So nice to see everyone again.
That was our fun productive day, hope yours was nice as well. Thanks for stopping by.

It definitely was a very productive day for you. It sounds like you got a lot done and even had nice weather to boot. Glad the generator is now running again. That can be an expensive fix so it looks like you made out on that one.
ReplyDeleteWe have already spent a lots on money in repairs on our generator over the years.Glad this was an easy one.
DeleteThe low oil switch has caused more than a few unexpected shutdowns and starting failures. Yours might be just a little extra sensitive.
ReplyDeleteI love those Portobello Mushroom burgers but we cannot find them in any of our stores any more. It is nice to know they still exist so I can get on our grocery store manager to bring them in.
I am think that could be the issue with the switch it was replaced two years ago.
DeleteThose mushrooms are plentiful here in the stores good luck with getting them in.
Well that was a full day. The burgers sound wonderful and I liked that you cooked your beans right in the can (slightly opened of course) but I'd have it the burger myself....Joe doesn't do mushrooms of any sort.
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day, some people just don't eat mushrooms and they are good for you too.
DeleteIt was a great day all around.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice you have a competent repair person. Nothing worse than having a repair done and have to keep taking it back. Been there, done that.
ReplyDeleteDale does good work, is reasonable and is very reliable. He has worked on our vehicles for years.
DeleteI'll say it was productive....don't you just love checking things off the "to do" list?
ReplyDeleteThe lilacs are so pretty.....
Just love getting things done and all works out.
DeleteI don't think you two could have stuffed another thing in that day.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the smell of Lilacs. I like to cut them and bring them in the house. Seems to get all the winter odors out of the air...lol
The day just flowed together nicely, love days like that.
DeleteLove those mushrooms. Glad you had a good day all around.
ReplyDeleteThose mushrooms were amazing!
DeleteIt's good that manufacturers build in safety guards to protect machinery. That's a serious mowing machine you're on.
ReplyDeleteThe safeties are good for sure.
DeleteAnd we do have some serious lawn mowing to do here too.
How nice to get the generator working with just adding some oil! Bonus!
ReplyDeleteNot sure if that was the only problem but its working now.
DeleteHowdy-ho George and Suzie! I'm so glad it was an easy fix with genny and that you were able to bring your home...home. :) Gorgeous day it was indeed, best not to listen to the weather guessers. LOL We are heading to Pittock C.A. on the weekend for our first time so hope the weather holds for us too! Keep on doing what you guys do best, eh? Retirement and relaxin'.
