Where are we today ?
Again more hot wonderful weather. Ever seen the movie Ground Hog day? The days just keep repeating them selves. And with this kind of weather we don't mind at all. Temps got to 28c but with humidity feels like 37c (98f).The twist was my project today, remove our Lazy Boy recliner and fix a broken handle on the release cable. Last night it was reclined and would not release when I went to bed. So it remained reclined, problem with that it almost completely blocks our entry door. Makes it pretty tight getting in and out.Struggled with unbolting it from the floor. Think it weighs over 200 lbs. But a few hours later got things repaired (nice to have spare parts) and all is working good for now.

We are heading out in the morning, back to Plattsville. Been here two weeks already and have that hitch itch, gotta get moving again. Also need to get the rear brakes on our coach done too.
That was it for our perfect summer day, thanks for stopping by. Not too exciting but worked for us.

Catching up (again)..... those Lazy Boys are SO comfortable... wish we had a couple in our rig.... Oh well.... we're already at the top of our weight allowance. Hitch itch?,,,,, guess we'll have to settle for mosquito, black fly and deer fly itch for now...... scratch, scratch, scratch.....
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Sharon. We prefer the hitch itch much more than your kind, even though you enjoy what you do.
DeleteLove my Lazy Boy, it came with the coach.
Here is hoping the weather stays clear for your travels tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Thanks should be no problem only a few hours down the road.
DeleteSeems a feller has to be a Mr. Handy Man no matter what kind of dwelling it is. Not much fun wrestling with a beast of a chair, but you got it sorted out.
ReplyDeleteI can't say I'd recommend the "Ford" brand of disks for the coach. (Seems to me it's a Ford Chassis you have?) When I did the brakes on our coach, we were able to do all four disks for what Ford wanted for just two. Well almost. Can't remember the name of the type, but it's a very common brake manufacturer. Your mechanic sounds like a common sense kind of guy, so you'll get the best price I'm sure.
It does help to be handy, no matter what kind of house.
DeleteDale is an great mechanic and does get us the best price on good parts for repairs.
Ground Hog Day is one of our favorites. Good for you repairing that chair. Gold star for you.
ReplyDeleteA good movie,
DeleteThanks C.
I wish Paul liked cold pasta. I love pasta salad but hate to make it just for me.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels.
You can make smaller portions, like I will be doing this week.
DeleteIt is so refreshing.
Happy Canada Day George and Suzie. Safe travels back to Plattsville. I was through there last week delivering to the public school, one of our drivers was on holidays so I was out covering for him. The main street was being paved after the construction that was being done. We have our first visit to Rock Glen booked for July 11-13, looking forward to it. Take care.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys, we be there then as well, see ya then, have fun!
DeletePasta salads are amazing for a hot day. There are so many things out of the refrigerator you can throw into them. Have another great day!
ReplyDeleteYes they are perfect on a hot day!
DeleteOn the road to smewgere else? Hoping the long weekend traffic has no effect on the congestion.
ReplyDeleteHumidity can be very trying.......!
We left pretty early and had no slow downs at all.
