Where are we today ?
Arrowhead Lakes Wapkoneta Ohio
clic a pic to enlarge itThe rain has finally stopped and the weather cooled down. But a windy overcast day, 36F at 5 am and stayed about the same all day long, But no problem we are still toasty warm inside. A short very cold walkabout this morning, first day for my winter jacket.
Now because of this cooler weather another pot of soup sounds like a good idea. So I boiled up the bones from our turkey breast we cooked the other day to make a tasty broth for some Turkey Barley soup. Let that simmer for a couple of hours then a quick check out a couple stores in town and the new very nice laudramat. It is much better than the aging one that they closed down last spring. All brand new machines front loaders (much more money of course ) and a new system where you get a card and load money on it too use for washing and drying. Saw Patsy and Bill there doing their stuff and chatted with them for a bit, then back home to finish up the soup, enjoyed soup for lunch (more leftovers) and put a pork loin roast in our antique slow cooker. Did not feel like setting up our Weber Q with this cold and wind. And some snow fluffies off and on most of the day, even a few minutes of sunshine, did not warm things up though.
