Just more amazing weather we are having here. windows open last night for sleeping and was 66 f at 5 am, what's not to love about that?
Nice early walkabout around the resort and checked out the golf course for a nice view over the greens. Even spotted a few spring flowers along the way.

golf course looks inviting |
Back in January of this year a tornado came through this area and did some damage that they are still repairing. A few trees and even one trailer here got hit.
|
oops.. |
Then I whipped into town for a few food stuffs for tonight's supper. On the way back stopped to see the horses on the lane way in here. So nice to see them grazing so peacefully.
Soon time for lunch, I finished the rest of the chicken noodle I made the other day, oh so tasty.

lunch today |
This was our skies most of the day but still pretty nice got to 84 f with a SE wind behind our coach nothing we can't handle, Sure beats the snow storms back home.
We did enjoy a few hours enjoying our e-readers outside, very comfortable. Then a short drive about this resort to check out some of the more permanent sites that are here, So many of them in a different area.

we have new neighbours , a nice couple we chatted with for a bit |
Now being it is St. Patrick's day we had a corned beef to cook up. Another nice treat. Corned Beef with cabbage, carrots and potatoes. Threw all that in our slow cooker (cause we have electricity ) Added some fresh garlic covered all with water, added the spice packet and turned on high for about 5 hours, Cabbage added for the last hour.
|
my antique slow cooker still does the trick |
That was the whole thing and done to perfection. Was gonna do on our Weber Q again but decided to try this just cause we could.
|
all done and smells wonderful left overs for sure |

After a perfect relaxing day we enjoyed more reading outside in this amazing weather , even some walkabouts and enjoying a nice sunset at about 7:30 then time to head inside just after 8 pm. Yup spring is here and soon summer time.
Glad that y'all dropped by and hope your spring day was wonderful too !
Where have we been this Winter
Really loved the wildflowers along the highways and hillsides in Texas when we were there in the spring two years ago. Especially the Bluebonnets, could not believe how they filled the roadsides and fields blue and red.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you two had the perfect St. Patrick's Day dinner.
We hope to take a drive in search of more wildflowers sometime this week. Nothing going on here at this campground that we knew of.so we had our own party.
DeleteInteresting how they have buildings over their homes. Makes for great protection against the elements I guess.
ReplyDeleteYes the sun, and apparently even tornadoes as well.
DeleteI agree with Doug. It looks funny seeing those shelters over their park models. Over an rv though is a great idea, we'd love one if we were to stay put somewhere. Happy St. Pat's to you both. Your corned beef meal looks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteNice protection for sure, thanks, and the corned beef was excellent.
DeleteFor a second there I thought you were picking up a horse for supper. That would be an interesting picture of cooking one up on your Weber Q. :cD
ReplyDeleteNo horsemeat for supper thanks, too big for our Weber Q. lol...
