Got up this morning at 5 am and 65f, now this is awesome. It was very warm overnight and our Fantastic fan going and just the bedroom windows open was great for sleeping. Love our fantastic fan, and the bonus is they have replaced any repair parts for free (including shipping), over the years, even with our 18 year old fan.
Lookingout our kitchen window watching these Canada Geese , looks like they following us back home.
About 8:30 this morning I did a drive around the area and into town. Stopped by the road side to take a pic of these blossoms on the trees.4 way flashers on and before I know a friendly local fellow stopped to see if I needed help. I waved him on by and said that I was fine. Talk about friendly people here, this was wonderful.
this the pic I stopped to take |
these guys are nonstop, not sure where they get the lumber |
interesting to see them heading back the trailers are lifted to the back of their trucks cool. |
Like I always do , read a bit , putter around, read a bit walkabouts, just can't sit for a long time. suits me just fine.
here is the lovely pool, all ready to open just not quite yet |
this is us so quiet here, love it |
clear blue skies and nobody around |
behind us overlooking the lake still watching for alligators, but no luck yet |
these geese look like they are wanting to nest |
still no gaters |
time to whip up supper, tonight a cornish hen and fresh asparagus on our Weber Q. |
less than an hour done to perfection |
sure hit the spot, no leftovers tonight |
Thanks for stopping on by and hope you have a great day as well.
Where have we been this Winter
This is the perfect time of year to travel. However, sometimes you get nice weather and other times it might be storms. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteWe just watch the weather and are enjoying a very long springtime.
DeleteBeen seeing lots of geese here the last few days...all the sloughs are thawing out finally. Dinner looks great! Have a good night.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenn,
DeleteLoving the spring weather and hope things are all thawed out when we get back home.
You sure are doing it right, it doesn't seem like such a long drive when you stop for a week here and there.
ReplyDeleteThat's the way we like to travel works wonderful for us.
DeleteGlad you are having pleasant weather. Those Geese are probably Snowbirds just like you.
ReplyDeleteStorm Warnings are up for your area,
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Loving this wonderful weather, Storms warnings always at this time of year we just watch the weather.
DeleteI hope to be in this part of the country next year - should we take special precautions regarding gators?
ReplyDeleteDon't feed the gators and leave them alone, never had any problems with them.
DeleteNot a goose on the bbq then! We had a roast on Sunday and used goose fat.
ReplyDeleteDon't care much for Goose, I much prefer the white meat.
DeleteBeautiful park.
ReplyDeleteI always am astonished at how those huge, long trucks turn corners.
They seem to do pretty well, no problems for them.
DeleteYou are lucky to hold on to the warm temps. We aren't complaining though, we are preparing ourselves for home temps in less than a week. Sounds unreal after this great trip!
ReplyDeleteWe want to hold on to the warm temps as long as possible, sure can't complain
DeleteWhat a lovely park, the picture with the blue water and green trees beautiful. Like you two this year we will stay as far south, in the warm temperatures, as long as we can.
