Where are we today ?

Well survived the storm, no tornado, no new rv and our coach is still in tact so we are good to go for some more uninterrupted travels, hopefully. We plan to be here until Thursday.
A wonderful nice sunny morning and trip to town for a few supplies and a drive about Ashdown.
nice country drive into town |

We found a shady spot behind our coach out of the winds and was wonderful. More reading time was accomplished.
Mid afternoon our power went out through the whole park, A few people upset , but no big deal for us. Our fridge on propane and the inverter on we are just fine. solar keeping the batteries well charged.
The manager dropped by to tell us and we ended up chatting with her for a while very nice lady and she had along a very nice dog for Suzie's doggie fix.
Met a couple of other neighbours all new full timers and shared some stories and answered a few questions they asked. Most campers we meet are very friendly people and easy to get along with.
a wonderful view from our patio |

oh so tasty. lean and tender |
We enjoyed this day with very nice weather and hope you did as well.
Thanks for stopping on by.
Where have we been this Winter ?
Yep solar counts big time even in a campground. That has happened more than a few times in my 9 years of full timing.
ReplyDeleteYes Barney same here, gices us lots of options. And can pay back a lot of money over a short time.
DeleteWith such nice weather and campsite seems odd the power went out. Glad your solar is up to the task, we have to rely on the batteries charging while driving and a little 100 watt solar suitcase. We passed thru Arkansas a couple years ago, it is definitely worth more time on a future trip.
ReplyDeleteApparently there was and accident and a transformer was taken our so took a while to fix.
DeleteWe have been here a few times some beautiful countryside around here.
Glad you survived the storm and didn't get blown into next week.
ReplyDeleteWe good so far, looks like we have another storm coming soon though.
DeleteLooks like you're going to enjoy Arkansas for awhile. That's great! It's amazing the number of RVs that don't even have generators or inverters. Completely dependent on hook-ups. I guess if you live full-time in an RV park, it's not a problem most of the time. Great pictures today.
ReplyDeleteWe in no hurry still have 18 days so can relax and hang out here for a while.
DeleteSuzie is leaving a trail of spoiled dogs all along your travels! ;c)
ReplyDeleteYes she sure is and enjoying it too!
DeleteGlad you missed the storm and were able to stay put. you are enjoying that park. Not sure what the storm today will bring but we can't move until tomorrow anyway. Need to call AOR in the morning. Nice sunshine this morning for a bit anyway.
ReplyDeleteYep was good and very warm again here today. Enjoy the Casino time there and hope you get better weather. Then you will be on the road again. Travel safe.
DeleteLooks like a nice area to hang out for a few days.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful area.
DeleteLooks like you are parked in a beautiful spot and it sounds like you are enjoying your time. Cannot ask for much more.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful here and we love the area.
DeletePerfect for us.
Back in Texas... and we have internet!!! Looked to see if maybe you two were closeby... looks like you've already headed on. Sorry we missed you. Maybe I'll be able to read more blogs now... hope so as I missed keeping up with friends like you.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home 1
DeleteSad that we missed you but hopefully another time in our travels.
Patsy Irene wrote, "Need to call AOR . . . " What is AOR? Casino?
ReplyDeleteJerry, AOR is Adventure Outdoor Resorts, (AOR) a membership system we belong to give us camping for $9.00 a night.
DeleteThank you!
DeleteWe've been in parks where they've had brown-outs in hot weather. Thank goodness for solar and for generators. At least we all have backups.
ReplyDeleteYes, and surge protectors as well to protect our vehicles.
