Where are we today ?
clic a pic to enlarge it
A nice sunny start to the day after breaky, coffees, computing and walkabout the park. I headed into town to pick a few grocery supplies that we needed. Home just after 9 am and gonna do laundry today. Was a bit busy there but we in no rush have all day. It is only a 100 yards away so no big deal.Back home to putter around, empty our sewage, flush the tanks, check tire pressure etc... While I did this Suzie cleaned our coach inside, once again looks like new!
Got the laundry into the machines to wash so time to have an early lunch. Then goes into the dryers, perfect, all done by 1 pm. Ready to hit the road in the morning. So can enjoy our e-readers outside in the shade another perfect day 92 f, no humidity and a very slight breeze, love it !
love these blue cloudless sunny desert skies gonna miss them |
looks like this tumbleweed attacked this car |
Then shortly after 3 pm I put a 5 lb chicken on our Weber Q, low and slow. Was looking for some chicken to grill and could not turn this deal down more than I wanted but at a buck a lb we will have leftover chicken that will be used up. No problem there.
With Rob and Pat here they joined us for happy hour while our chicken cooked away. we leaving in the morning so will not see them for a while |
ready to serve |
yup we love our chicken |
and another wonderful sunset over the mountains lik I said before, gonna miss them |
Where have we been this Winter
Love those temperatures!! That sky is such a brilliant blue....so pretty!! I haven't cooked a whole chicken on the grill. I'll have to do that ...your's looks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteWe love chicken on our Weber Q.
DeleteCrikey ..... how blue is that sky, aye???? That chook sure looks good but you can keep that green stuff. When Mum has that it makes her pee smell something awful. I don't risk my pee smelling bad. I saw that tumbleweed attacking your car. I knew there was that tumbleweed stuff in deserts. Great shot of the sunset!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Charlie, yes that chook was wonderful. We do like the asparagus, and don't smell my pee so guess thats ok? We see them tumbleweeds everywhere here in the desert.
DeleteDon't just love the feeling of putting the awning out and savoring the day!
ReplyDeleteWe sure do, nothing quite like it.
DeleteAnother winner dinner! Have a safe travel day.
ReplyDeleteIt was Peter , thanks.
DeleteSoak in this heat as much as possible, too soon it will be over.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy every minute of it!
DeleteWe've used the tumbleweeds as Christmas decorations, turning them into Snowmen or Christmas Trees. At least some use for them :) That leftover chicken will make some easy travel food for you. Good plan to have extra. Stay safe and enjoy your journey home.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea for the tumbleweeds. We have been running over them for years. Always like leftover chicken.
DeleteSounds like you're enjoying one of the last days in the desert heat and will be moving on. Safe journey.
ReplyDeleteWe sure did, but the weather will still be pretty good for for a while yet. Thanks Doug.
DeleteWe just taking our time, still gonna see some nice weather yet.
