What a bonus us Canadians have, we get to enjoy Thanksgiving twice every fall. In October in Canada them again in November when we are in the south. Gotta love it !
A bit cooler today started out 48 f at 5 am up only got up to 71 f, but heck we are not complaining its was still a t shirt and shorts kinda day and quite warm in the sun.
Got a few desert walkabouts and enjoyed more reading fun in the sun and shade with this perfect weather. Don't want to travel on this holiday so glad that we are settled right here. Peace, quiet and some solitude.

We had a nice bone in turkey breast in the freezer and planned on cooking it today. Seeing as our friends John and Barb are in the area, we invited them for a Thanksgiving dinner. They arrived around 3:30 so I fired up our Weber Q to grill the turkey and heat up the stuffing I had made and was in the freezer.

Now John had baked some yummy homemade buns on their Weber Q 100 and Barb made a pumpkin pie. As well as a veggie casserole and some gravy to go with our meal.

What a wonderful Thanksgiving day we had, this time with good friends that just happened to be in the area. We all did our Family Thanksgiving in October.
Hope y'all had a wonderful day as well. Now tomorrow is Black Friday and it is another day we will not be going anywhere. Nothing we need and don't need the crowds, maybe a drive about Quartzite will be pretty quiet here.

ReplyDeleteWe love our Turkey as well and do it as often as possible.
DeleteWe also had a very nice 2nd Thanksgiving day and dinner at the clubhouse here. Went with 6 other Canadians and a few new American friends as well. Lots of food and leftovers too! We have a lot to be thankful for.
