Where are we today
clic on a pic to enlarge it
As usual we are up early all packed up, secured and on the road at 7:15 this morning. We choose to drive the car separately from here to Las Vegas. Because of the mountain pass, we are going from 2,500 ft to 5,600 feet from here to Las Vegas and is much easier without the car.
Once over the mountain pass we hooked up the car and whipped our way around Vegas, no traffic issues and were soon heading south on I-95 to Bullhead City.

interesting overpasses in Las Vega |
We stopped at the only rest area today about 30 minutes from Bull Head City. And what a wonderful one it was.
Then from here more downhill grades, Bullhead is about 850 ft above sea level so very much warmer.

Another nice Membership park that we have been to a few times before. And can stay for 2 weeks free with full hookups. but we only plan on one week here. Very nice pool; and spa, but the pool is not heated. To cold for us.

nice pool |

love the spa, will be back |
Here we are all set up before noon, but ANOTHER time change, no daylight savings time in Arizona so now we are only 2 hours different from Eastern Standard time, wow we really getting messed up.

A very nice spacious site, but full sun.

Had recieved a message from good friends Lori and Roland that they are in the Tropicana Casino Parking lot, across the river in Laughlin, with her Mom and Dad , Judy and Oscar. That we met about 10 years ago. They are from Dryden Ontario. So had to go join them for "Happy Hour" at 3:30. We have not met up with them since last January. Wow what a small world ! They can dry camp in the casino lot for $35.00 a week and have access to a dump station, water, garbage and all the hotel facilities, not a bad deal.

what a wonderful Happy hour |
Back home about 5, fire up our Weber Q, whipped up a salad and grilled a couple turkey burgers, as the sun was setting.
|
nice sunset from here |
|
love our Turkey burgers |

What a wonderful travel day we had, here early, all set up, amazing hot weather and meet up with good friends. What more can we ask for?
And still outside in shorts, Suzie reading and me posting this blog at 8 pm, really gotta love it !
Thanks again for stopping by and hope y'all had a great day too.

Where have we been this Winter
I remember that high grade from Las Vegas. We've also stayed at the park. Enjoy yourselves again until it's time to move on a little more south.
ReplyDeleteWe will enjoy it here, as we always do.
DeleteWe always get screwed up with the time when we are in AZ. Turn the clocks ahead...no, turn them back...no, leave them alone. Makes us crazy.
ReplyDeleteIt is confusing especially when on the Arizona border with and hours change just across the river.
DeleteLooks like you are now officially in the desert southwest and the weather you enjoy.
ReplyDeleteYes we here now, can wander about and work our way further south, feels so good.
DeleteWelcome to Arizona
ReplyDeleteThanks, feels like home.
DeleteI wish we could do away with daylight savings time. I loved it when we didn't have to change our clocks. Welcome back to AZ.
ReplyDeleteIt becomes a nuisance but we do manage to adjust.
DeleteYa'll are so fortunate to do as you please. This life makes me a little envious. Enjoy every breath of it!
ReplyDeleteWe love the lifestyle and we have been enjoying it for over 10 years now,
DeleteThe park looks great George, we are heading to it in another week.
ReplyDeleteThis is another nice area I am sure you will enjoy checking things out.
DeleteLooking forward to that park, George, Nov. 22 for2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteWe will be heading further south by then maybe pass you on the road. Enjoy it here.
DeleteEvery time we've been in Bullhead City, the wind nearly blew us away. You must have great luck! ;c)
ReplyDeleteIn the past it has, but this time so far we are lucky.
DeleteMovin' right along ;-) Nice to be in shorts again, huh?
ReplyDeleteIt sure is wonderful !
DeleteEnjoy the heat. We are having to run our A/C here in Palm Springs. Life is good.
ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying the heat no AC yet will just soak up the heat. Gotta be over 90f inside before we do that.
