Just more great weather but getting a bit windy as usual in this area.Walked around the park for a couple miles then headed across the River to Laughlin.About 10 very huge casinos there that we had checked out about 9 years ago. Now back then they had some amazing deals, free camping, free meals (buffets etc..) Free shows (and we did see a few), free souvenirs and so on. Guess we got lucky back then. No more free anything, not even free slot play, but they are very busy so why give away free stuff?
So no casinos for us this time when we have free camping across the river. We are enjoying the area and great weather. Wind is picking up, 15 mph winds from the north, but we are facing south so not too bad other than the intense sun, but our awning and sunshade sure helps.

Home by 10 am and whipped up an early lunch. Bacon and eggs done on the grill mat on our Weber Q. A craving we both had and enjoyed.

They headed out about 4 pm and we enjoyed our e-readers for a bit, fired up our Weber Q to grill a tasty pork loin roast, and grilled some asparagus to add to our salad.

Where have we been this Winter
Enjoy thinking back on our few times in Laughlin to watch the senior league baseball games. Our neighbor was a player/coach. But never found that much in the area to attract us back, thanks for sharing your experiences - we'll need to reconsider. There is more than slot machines ...
ReplyDeleteWe don't need much to do, as we will spend a lot of our winter in the desert. There is a not a lot to do here but we enjoy moving around.

DeleteWe didn't find too many good deals when we were in Laughlin either. We much preferred the casinos and their offerings in Pahrump. At least the weather was nice and you had a chance to enjoy just being there.
ReplyDeleteWe did enjoy the deals in Pahrump but not so much here anymore. If you spend money and earn points you do get some discounts, but you have to spend a lot of money.
