Where are we today

Now this is the desert weather we love. Cool nights warm sunny days, clear blue skies and so much space. Early morning coffees from our stove top perk that we use when boon docking, makes the best coffee! Then a walkabout for a mile or so as the sun comes up around 7 am.

About 8:30 into town 5 minutes away and stopped into the Quartzsite General store. They have a butcher there and some wonderful smoked pork chops that we just love. I snagged 2 chops and the woman behind me bought all the rest. Sure glad I was there early.

Then down the street to check out the Roadrunner market. They have a different selection of food and some wonderful fresh fruits and veggies.

Now home to read for a while, putter around enjoying this perfect weather. The temperature here on the north side of the coach 64F, on the south side 80f and both taken in the shade. We opened our awning and set up the sunscreen was wonderful. But we have learned over the years we do not open the awning unless we are here and under it, never know when a huge gust of wind will decide to zip on by.

yup its is nice and so peaceful |
Shortly after 3 pm we whipped on over to visit good friends of ours John and Barb from Ontario, we saw them last summer at Galvin Bay Resort near Buckhorn Ont.

Thanks for stopping by and joining us today. Hope yours was a great one too. Sure beats being back in Ontario as the cold weather is starting to settle in.
Where have we been this Winter
Hoping to be as relaxed as you are soon. Also looking forward to the warmer temperatures. Going below the freezing mark here tonight.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Relaxing is what this lifestyle is all about, along with lots fresh air and exercise.
DeleteWe get to cold nights here but warms up nicely when the sunrises.
Quartzsite? One of my favorite places. Take good care of it for me! :c)
ReplyDeleteWe are doing the best we can to help the economy here in town until the crowds get here.
DeleteGreat weather down there guys!We are on our way!
ReplyDeleteLoving this weather, travel safe now Croft.
DeleteAmazing that old car ran. We have a few in the UK and generally they look spotless being well cared for hobby cars.
ReplyDeleteHave seen lots of spotless ones around but this old car just lives in the desert, and the sun takes it's toll on the paint.
DeleteCars from the twenties usually don't purr like a cat, so this guy must have put a modern engine into it.
ReplyDeleteIt was smooth running, not real quiet.
DeleteDid not see under the hood, but sure sounded nice, not like a modern engine.
Looks like the old car is due a paint job before it rusts away
ReplyDeleteYup It could use a paint job, still the body is in excellent shape.
DeleteGreat old car George, we are set up in Ridgeview right next to Oscar and Judy with Laurie and Rowland across the the street. You will see a pic from Laurie, that she took at happy hour yesterday after we got set up. Great people.
ReplyDeleteGlad you met them they can give you lots great tips, have fun there.
DeleteSuch a small world and I'm lovin' every minute of it! Meeting Oscar and his family from Ontario made us chuckle but then when they started talking about you two, we outright had to laugh at the coincidence. It makes for a great Thanksgiving too!
ReplyDeleteSuch a small world, they are super people, was hoping you met up with them.
DeleteHave too much fun there.
