Where are we today

We had a pretty cold night last night (30f at 5 am) but we toasty warm under our 100 lb comforter that Suzie has had forever. This is the coldest night for a few weeks or maybe longer. But as the sun came up the temperature rises and makes for a perfect day. Got a nice 1 mile walkabout done before 8 am enjoying the quiet morning and the moon setting in the west and sunrise to the east.
moon setting is excellent today |
just before the sunrise |
After lunch I wandered about this area exploring and what did I come across? The area where these people (below) hang out. Very secluded and no I did not go in to check them out. Always wondered where the were now I know.
time to turn around and head back home |
About 3:30 it is now Beer 30 so joined Gerry, Melinda and Tucker for Happy hour. Chat with them share stories and had a nice social time together.
love this area and I think they do too |
do need some shade from the intense desert sun |
perfect once again |
Thanks for taking the time to take a peak. And hope your day was wonderful too.
Where have we been this Winter
So many extremes in the dessert. Glad you are making wise choices as to those you enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteThe cold nights, warm sunny days and no humidity works for us perfectly.
DeleteHope you are saving some of that warmth for us?
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Enough for you and 1/2 a million other people as well.
DeleteBeautiful sunny days and all those choices, clothes on, clothes off, what to do??? Almost time to make chicken stock here too. I now also save carrot, onion and celery ends in the freezer to add to the bones while simmering, it adds a nice layer of flavour. Must find me some of that spicy sausage meat for burgers...
ReplyDeletePossibilities are endless here. I put the celery, carrots, onions, mushroom and broccoli into the stock as well, sure makes a tasty soup.
DeleteThink I will leave my clothes on.
Yesterday was windy but a hot 62F in the sun here also. I found a corner at the back of the Suite and read to my hearts content!
ReplyDeleteThe sunshine makes all the difference in the world.
DeleteWell, a few years ago we DID check out the sunbathers. They weren't out. It was way too cold.
ReplyDeleteI think there was a few outside, but did not want to get too close. It was a perfect day for it.
DeleteIf clothing is optional in that area, that means you can opt to leave your clothes on.
ReplyDeleteYup thats what I did.
