Where are we today ?
New Hamburg Ontario
Well today no quite so cold, not much wind and almost sunshine. At 11:30 this morning we headed out to watch our two grandsons together taking power skating lessons. So nice to seen them again on the ice and how much they have improved and visit with my daughter Jessica and Jay, first time since before Christmas.
Even my mother came out for the event, just to get together with us and watch two of her GREAT grandsons on the ice too. So nice to see everyone again and chat for a while enjoying the workout the boys had on the ice.
Back home the weather was not too bad so got up and checked our roof for damage from the freezing rain and ice. Our vent covers and solar panel look ok but both air conditioner covers sure took a beating, Cracks in both and a large hole in the front one, looks like another repair job needs to be done when the weather warms up. Our roof was sparkling clean three weeks ago, but this weather kinda messes it up too.

After this we did some research shopping then back home to relax for a bit and whip up supper. Tonight we decided at the last minute to whip up some liver, with bacon, onions, mashed taters, gravy, veggies and a tossed salad for the four of us, just hit the spot. And really satisfied another craving.

then after dinner look what happened! |
Glad you could drop in for a peak and hope your weather was better than ours.

Me too, I just keep telling myself "it's going to get warmer, it really is!!".
ReplyDeleteSad about Omar, but he seems he had a great life, free to do all the doggie things he wanted to do.
A great life he had, freedom to roam.
DeleteOh my. Your roof doesn't look so well. Add it to your "when spring gets here" list.
ReplyDeleteWe will get er done.
DeleteNew AC covers needed for sure! Sorry to hear about Omar...
ReplyDeleteAnother project for warmer weather.
DeleteWhat a shame about the AC covers. That weather takes its toll.
ReplyDeleteJust the way it is, the joys on home ownership.
DeleteSorry to hear about the damage. On the other hand it could have been much worse.
ReplyDeleteYes it sure could have been worse.
DeleteFreezing rain and hail can do a lot of damage. Both our kids lost cars from it when we lived in Texas and had a couple of those massive storms. At least the damage doesn't look too bad. It's just something else to add to your to do list. Again, so sorry about Omer. We all loved him through your blog.
ReplyDeleteThe damage is an easy fix.
DeleteYep we do miss him, keep looking out the window hoping he will appear.
That dinner looks really good.
ReplyDeleteThanks it was very tasty!
DeleteI'm so sorry about your roof and Omar. I am just now reading about this. I hope it won't take much to get it fixed.
