Where are we today ?
I made an earlier posting today about possible good news for Canadian Senior Snowbirds, if you missed it and care to check it out just click HERE. Maybe not everybody is excited about it but does give us more available options if it ever gets passed. We could maybe even travel some northern states in the summer, which would be awesome!
Bright sunny day today, not much wind and not too cold. We can handle almost any weather as long as its nice and sunny. While enjoy our morning coffees and computing looked out the window and noticed this squirrel standing on his hind legs by our car. Must have been there at least ten minutes then I figured out what he was probably doing. As you can see the car is pretty dirty and we have driven on back country roads and ice covered roads in the last week. Now here in Ontario when it it snows they spread the roads with a heavy layer of salt. Makes for safer driving, no ice, not too slippery. Great eh? Makes a mess of your vehicles and in three four years they can rust away no nothing and are scrap. Unless you wash them frequently and rust proof once or twice a year. I believe this is the first time our car has ever seen salt covered roads in 11 years.
look closer the squirrel is licking the salt off the car! |
car is much cleaner now, no squirrels licking |
sunny warm and no wind |
hit the spot |

Our car needs washed so badly. We just haven't made the time to do it.
ReplyDeleteOnce we get the salt on it I just make time.
DeleteI made a note...if you see a squirrel licking your car it might be time for a wash? How cute is that?
ReplyDeleteWhere do you buy rice pasta?
I get the roce pasta at local grocery store, No frills, or Sobeys here. have a lot of gluten free products. Its pretty good once you know how to cook it.
DeleteI've heard the chatter about things changing for Canadians. Hope it works out for you.
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice, gives up more options.
DeleteSure don't need any salt on my Jeep! Make it go away....
ReplyDeleteShould be all gone by the time you get here.
DeleteI know living on a dairy farm is so much work but I would have loved to have tried it for a while.
ReplyDeleteIf you would have waited for say 2 weeks that little squirrel would probably have done the whole car for you :))
Yes it is, about three hours-four hours of chores and milking every twelve hours seven days a week, never a day off. Then there is planting and harvesting the crops, plus mowing the lawn, shovel snow, repair equipment, and running a house too, meals, laundry, raising the kids, sports.
DeleteSure not for me, my restaurant was enough at 100 hours a week, for 10 years.
The days are looking better and better, and the changes seem to happen so quick this time of the year. Never have seen a squirrel do that before. Sure lot's of interesting things to take in and enjoy on a dairy farm. Nice looking sauce on that spaghetti of yours. Have a great Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThe weather is getting better by the minute.
DeleteYep always something going on here for sure.
