Hey That's us !
Not a bad night at all 42F at 5 am and warming up slowly. No rush today just going to stop at a Flying J this afternoon. I did enjoy a nice walkabout the campground for a couple of miles enjoying the fresh air and scenery. Had another coffee, stored  our satellite dish and hooked up the car. We ready to go.
She has been waiting a long time
for Halloween
lots of nice cabins here
General lee's Cabin
We left the campground about 10:15 and stopped in Maryland to add a bit of gas to our coach so we could make it to the Flying J. Pennsylvania was $2.99 a gallon. Maryland $2;85 and the Flying J $2; 40. A no brainer will fill up here and stop for the night and enjoy free parking as well. Added 60 gallons of gas and saved $32.40 a vey nice savings, help pay for our repair yesterday.
Through Maryland. North Virginia the into Virginia, Managed to by pass Washington DC no problem , clear sailing all the way just a bit of slow down around Frederickburg, Stopped at a couple of rest areas to stretch and make lunch enjoying the liesurely pace.
we by passed these n problem
glad we are heading south instead of north
nice travelling along here
Base Quantico? FBI headquarters?
a bit of slow down but sitting high in the coach
we can see what is going on
Arrived at the Flying J fuelled up and parked just after 3 pm. Relax a bit, do some reading after a few walkabouts, happy hour and then whip up supper. It is raining but we cozy inside.
We are secure here now
spotted this boat at the pumps, 3 massive outboard
motors on the back, that sure would be quick !
heating our English Muffin on our Blue Flame
Supper tonight a very tasty one. Our Canadian Peameal bacon on an English muffin, with egg cheese and tomato for me. Added a few potato chips and this did the trick today.
quick and easy a nice treat
that was it for our day
Still pouring down rain. and this posting is pretty well done. So time to get my Kobo going and back into some Jack Reacher escapades. Maybe even watch a bit of TV later on. We have 35 local channels on our antenna so will enjoy something I am sure.
Thanks for checking us out and hope y'all had a wonderful day.
148 miles today.

  1. FBI Quntico is part of the Marine Base as a training facility, not their headquarters. But is fun how often Quantico comes up in various novels for its expertise in its scientific endeavors. I worked in the are for a few years, Virginia is for BUGS!, know wonder the 'lovers' stay indoors!

  9. We are always relieved that traffic is backed up going the opposite direction and not the way we're going. Enjoy the journey.

  11. You are passing through our old stomping grounds, lived near Quantico before we retired and hit the road. That Flying J was our fueling stop many times, both going and coming home.
