Another mild night and was 70f at 6 am , gonna be another hot day, sounds perfect to me. Got a few nice early walkabouts hope to visit some friends here but not many people outside on this wonderful summer morning. So I hopped in the car for a nice country drive around the area grabbed some more white corn, and enjoyed the scenery and even a few more walk abouts. Still nobody outside? Hmm.. Love this rural countryside . When I got home I realized I forgot to take any pictures oh pooh.... nothing too excitng anyway.
Then we fiddled around for a while with some old cassette tapes and dove into our e-readers. Then we ended up having a few friends one at a time stop by to catch up with us. Always nice to see these guys when we are in the area.
Before we knew it was 3 pm , Happy Hour with Bill, Barb, John and Wendy. They are waiting for their daughter, Kimberly, Scott and Sadie to arrive from New York with their trailer. We went to Kim and Scotts wedding this past June in New York.
chatted with these guys for a bit then Kim and Scott arrived so nice to see them again |
Bill helping Scott back their trailer in |
Then Gramma Barb got to hold her grand daughter Sadie Anne, what a cutie just over a year old |
Scott and Kim relax for a bit then went to the store. |
all done, English muffins in foil for a few minutes to warm up nicely and so soft |
love these Turkey burgers sure hit the spot tonight |
We got time read outside for a while then our friends came back from the pool and splash pad with Sadie. Time to head down to join their campfire, late for us about 8 Pm buy heck this does not happy very often wth these guys, its been a few years to actually camp here with them.

Where have we been this summer?
I read this post and sounds like a good day but I'm stuck on the fact that the two of you stayed up until 11!!!!
ReplyDeletehaha
It was a very good day, but oh my a very late night for us.
DeleteSounds like a great day all the way around! Love the name Sadie Anne sounds like an old west name :) Beautiful green grass you've got there with a cute little play area for the little one. A great fire and a late night once in awhile is so nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks it was a wonderful, and I too love her name she is such a sweetie.
DeleteI just checked out your map and it dawned on me you are on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Never got to check it out because I left my passport home. I drove over the Mackinaw Bridge heading south around Lake Huron to end up near Niagara. Most beautiful country I've ever seen!!
ReplyDeleteWe have been to both sides of the falls many times it is very beautiful country side pn both sides of the. border where we have lived most our lives. To bad you did not see the falls from the Canadian side amazing views.
DeleteHaving been to the falls several times on both sides I'd agree with George the Canadian side should not be missed. After a long night around the fire, did you still have a sunrise walkabout this morning?
ReplyDeleteYes Jeff you are right, too bad she did not have her passport. It was up for the sunrise no problem but with a painful leg cramp so no early walkabout today , feeling better now but raining, hmm, don't care much for walking in the rain, think the fitness centre a in a bit.
DeleteHave had a lot of trouble with internet last couple of months and haven't been able to read every blog but do check in as often as possible to make sure you two are doing alright.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about your internet we are doing wonderful thanks for asking.
