More overnight rain helps us sleep like babies. Love the sound of rain on the roof. Uo nice and early did get a couple of wonderful cool morning walkabouts around the campground taken care of. Leg cramps from yesterday have gone away. Drank lotsa water so should be good. I have ti remember to drink water.Really love it when the campground is so quiet and we know so many people here. Lots of friends to visit.
quiet here in the valley at 8 am |
Finish the soup and we both enjoyed a very tasty bowl of Chicken (barley Soup, Patsy !) It sure hit the spot and of course enough for a few more lunches.
we do love our homemade soups |
I had a nice long hot shower here at the wonderful showers right across from us. Our friends from New York did a day trip and got back later this afternoon. We will probably see them later tonight.
Then Scot wandered up to the playground across from us with Sadie Anne and came over for a short visit.

Where have we been this summer?
Is Sadie Irish? My gosh what beautiful red hair! Barley is more common in Mexican soups of the nicer restaurants than other places. Yours looks delish!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if she is Irish, Maybe on Scotts side of the family she does have beautiful hair though.
DeleteWe are beginning to enjoy barley in our soups, white tasty.
Please send the extra rain to us here in BC. We really need it. I always put barley in my soups. Love Sadie's hair and her expressions.
ReplyDeleteWould like to share some of this rain with you, but it has been a pretty dry summer, The barleys gives the soup a different taste.
DeleteSadie is a such a sweetie.
Glad you're liking the barley in your soup now too!
ReplyDeleteSporadic rain for us too. Sadie is a cutie and your supper looks yummy.
Thanks Patsy
DeleteThe barley is different , never used to like it in beef barley soup, but this seems different.
Oh my gosh ... Sadie Ann is a cutie pie!! I actually love overcast days. A nice break from all the sun.
ReplyDeleteShe sure is a cutie. The overcast days are nice as long as it is not cool cold.
DeleteHey George! I’d rather sleep like a teenager; a baby wakes up every couple hours!
ReplyDeleteLOL,,, I wake up every couple of hours for a pee.
