After a very long day yesterday we both had a wonderful sleep last night, windows open Fantastic fan going to bring in fresh air.Got a short walkabout this morning then down to the clubhouse to cook some pancakes (flapjacks) . Had some help there from Dorothy, Doug, My Suzie, Erin, and Mike to set the grill to the right temperature , It is a finicky grill.
I began cooking the pancakes and flipping them 8 at a time, Did this until 10 am. ended up a bit more than 200 pancakes , served. No complaints! memories if my restaurant years |

Where have we been this summer?
Those are some huge pancakes. And of course the pizza looks so good.
ReplyDeleteNo sense fooling around with small pancakes ia there? The pizza hit the spot tonight.
DeleteHey George....Is there a difference between a pancake and a flapjack?..Just wondering.....Krusteaz has always been easy and worked for me from Cub scouts..Boy-scouts...Even last weekend....
ReplyDeleteDavid I don't think there is a difference, here is the park it was always a free pancake breakfast, now they call it a free flapjack breakfast. That is a nice easy mix to use, too cook up tasty and are fluffy.
DeleteNice job on the pancake flipping, George.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to see Cynthia and Larry again! Are they camped in the park? We enjoyed meeting them.

DeleteCynthia and Larry are a fun couple. They are not camped here they have a seasonal site closer to their house at another campground.
Those pancakes look awesome!! We use the same mix at our Elks Park Pancake Breakfast every month. It's actually pretty tasty. Personally, I like mine smothered with syrup!!
