Just another amazing desert day in Quartzsite. As usual, just waiting for the sunrise. Well I wanted to get going. So just before 6 am headed into town to get our laundry done. No problem 6:05 am lotsa machines available as I know from experience. Laundry done, dried and folded and home before 7:30 .We both had our showers and fresh water was about done, it's been 2 weeks,.Now a quick trip to the dump station needed. At 8:40 am I checked it, out only 4 rigs in line. Back home to Suzie, we going now. Coach secured in less than 10 minutes, move on down the road. We dumped our sewage refilled our fresh water, while Suzie put the laundry away and back home all set up about 9:45. Our chores done for the day.
Now to just putter around a bit, do some outside reading and chat with our neighbours for a couple minutes. And a nice light early lunch.
I headed into town to check out a few vendors and enjoyed an amazing warm sunny afternoon reading in the shade, shorts, t-shirts and sandal makes this amazing for a couple hours.
clear blue skies and full sun. out batteries fully charged before noon. |

Happy hour at out house today I am roasting a 5 lb chicken on to Weber Q today and do not want to leave it unattended. Picked this up yesterday .87 cents a lb. The 5 lb bird takes just a bit more than an hour.

Now our outside day is done, relax a bit, whip up the dishes, post this blog and watch the tube for a bit. Too cold after sunset to be outside now.
So happy to see you living the life but seriously 6 AM for laundry? What time do you go to bed to be up so early. We prefer to ease into the morning, ie relax a bit.
ReplyDeleteI go to bed at 9 in the winter, always have and usually up by 4:30 then ease my way into the day then. The early mornings are my favourite time of the day. Walkabout as the sun rises then I can do things like laundry, shopping etc. long before the crowds and things get busy.
DeleteI was catching a train at 7 am yesterday for an early start to work. Too early.
ReplyDeleteYou should beat some of the crowds then.
DeleteSunshine looks wonderful. So far today, we have had 5" of rain here in Houston. Everything is closed down. Flooding every where. We were to leave at 6:30 am but can't go any where. Still raining at 7:00. They say we may have a window between 10-12, then more rain. Enjoy that sun.
ReplyDeleteHope it stops raining for you. The sunshine here is wonderful.
DeleteLooks like a gorgeous day for you. Sure wish we could have, stayed longer and wait for that warm sunshine.
ReplyDeleteIt was a gorgeous day, looking forward to more, too bad you could not hang around.
DeleteYou got those chores done in hyper speed. Most impressive! :cD
ReplyDeleteI like to get things done early and avoid the crowds everywhere we go.
Delete4:30am is way too early here! The sun doesn't start to come up until 8:30 or so and with the RV we are borrowing the one battery they have isn't good enough for us to use even use the lights in the morning so we usually stay in bed in the warmth until at least 8 or 8:30am preferably we would rather be up around 7am. A new battery is on the agenda for tomorrow!

I have always got up that early in the summer we are outside later so can sleep until 5:30. I enjoy the peace and quite of the early mornings. New Battery will help.
DeleteGetting everything done so early allows so much time for other things...like relaxation and cooking that hen. Your meal looked delicious!!
ReplyDeleteThats the way like to do our days works for us. Thanks the meal was excellent.
